Don’t ever want to have to watch that dude dive for the ground as soon as he catches the ball to avoid getting tackled again. Has to be one of the softest players I’ve ever seen. He was fast but the only time we saw the speed was when he was sprinting to the sideline so he didn’t have to get tackled.

With the escalating cost of WR, I think targeting and drafting 2 would be wise. If it's using our 1st or using our draft capital to move up for guys we like, I'd be onboard.

When supposedly Jarvis is looking for 20m/year and the deal Kirk got, that's scary. MVS too. Apparently DK could be available, but that costs draft capital and a mega-contract.

You take BPA as always in round 1 and hopefully that happens to either be someone like the tackle from Northern Iowa or Chris Olave from Ohio State. Then you start worrying about shoring depth at key positions with your next 2-3 picks but that first round pick can’t afford to take a redshirt like we did last year with the DE from Houston. You’ve got to draft a guy that’s ready to step in and start when you have a top 20 pick. Charles Cross from MS State would be the dream pick but I don’t see him falling out of the top 10. I think he gave up 3 pressures in just under 500 snaps last year playing g in the SEC West. If that doesn’t scream franchise LT I dunno what does and it lets you keep Ramcyzk on the right side where he’s the best RT in football.

Crazy that the NFL made Cook stop shooting the imaginary arrows because it was imitatable or some stupidity. But kids would use a real one? Or something?

Can still pick any of those guys and still have Cooks.

Cooks shouldn’t cost more than a 3rd.

We can do the same trade as we did with Roby where they eat some of his cap space…

Probably will be a trade similar to what Miami just got for Parker.

Garrett Wilson will be gone by any spot the Saints could trade into.

Jameson Williams might be available at 18 in a lot of mock drafts.

That's how to prolong an NFL career and avoid big hits and major injuries my guy. Cooks has a history of concussions - get down or out of bounds and move on to the next play.

Harrison, Holt and Bruce used to get shite on all the time by pundits and fans for getting down and going out of bounds standing up, but they each played for a decade plus at a high level relatively injury free.

Cooks is exactly what we need as a number 2. Anyone that doesn't want him, especially after last season, is fricking insane. He is probably the only WR in the league that is 100% plug and play. He has played in 4 different systems, with like 8 different QBs, and he just produces.

And I don't want a WR that takes unnecessary hits. Get what you can get, and get down / out of bounds.

He is in the last year of his contract and will be paid 12.5

He is going to want a new contract.

He will cost a 3rd and some change.

I wouldve traded a 6th for robert woods.

Woods is 30 coming off of an ACL tear. Cooks is under 30 and is coming off another 1000 yard season. Woods was a salary dump. Cooks is an actual asset.

I see Chris Olave and I see Russell Gage.

I think he'll have a decent NFL career, but he is VASTLY overrated IMO.

He's benefitting from playing on a team MUCH BETTER than his competition 11/13 games per year, and was never the offensive focal point from the defense's perspective.

I've seen one guy here on TD compare him to Ja'Marr Chase (WTF?!)
I've seen a comparison to Justin Jefferson... he's 1 inch shorter and 15 pounds lighter while only running 4 1/100ths of a second faster 40. JJ runs (and ran right out of LSU) much crisper routes and is better after the catch not just with better size but also "crazy legs" quickness and jukes.

WR's I like better than Olave in this draft:
Burks
Wilson
London
Watson
Pickens
Moore

I even like Williams more even with the first season being a lost one due to the injury.

If Olave 2021 had been on LSU 2019, he'd have been the 4th or 5th WR.
Chase
Jefferson
Marshall

I don't agree with your "why" -- I'd LOVE to have a guy that got open, caught the ball, occasionally took one 70 to the house, and played "soft" versus guys that just can't get open on their own...

I don't want us to trade for him for 2 reasons, draft capital for a guy who clearly has made a career of chasing the money, not winning.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, I don't think his teammates really ever liked him, most notably CGM. Yeah, yeah, Ceedy and CGM got in a fight... that's bc ceedy is a douche (Our douche). CGM's teammates generally love him and his competitiveness and that he's happy to see other skill players produce... Cooks pouted when he didn't get the ball -- again because he's more concerned about putting up the stats and how that influences potential future paydays.

Cooks is a turd. IF I could know he's been humbled, and now that he's made some real money that he is actually concerned about winning and success then sure, I'd love to bring him in for the right price.

Knowing what I THINK I know about him and what I think it'll probably cost to trade for him, I hope they don't do it.

If they do, I'll try to talk myself into being excited and I'll hope like hell he's grown up and is a better teammate now than he was 5 years ago.

Saw him at the Bulldog with 2 strippers a couple of days after he signed his contract. I'll give him credit they were fine.
