Penning with an 80.2 pff last game.

Things are looking up. Penning’s talent level is off the charts, if he can put it together.

Needed to be posted since this board only likes to piss and moan.

I hope Ramczyk spends the year working with him.

Dude has it moving and shifting on running plays where momentum is his friend. If he pass blocks, he falls back too much and gets his weight behind him. I really think I could bull rush him back to the QB.

There was one play where he literally pushed the edge like a rag doll in run blocking.

But I notice the same issue, he's gonna get flagged for late hits. He did some borderline dirty shite last game too.

“Talent level is off the charts”

People need to stop confusing size and speed with football talent.

People do it this QB’s all the time as well. T Law and Caleb being considered as generational prospects despite a lack of accuracy, leadership, and defense reading ability comes to mind.

As opposed to counting his millions?

Apparently PFF disagrees with your Oline evaluation of this game.

There is no world where Penning was not a first round pick.

He was highly rated. Just from a small school.

T Law and Caleb

I tend to think Lawrence and Caleb kinda earned their positioning. It’s more guys like Anthony Richardson that legit don’t make any sense. Football isn’t played in a gym, this guy has never been a winner and has never been accurate. Kinda mind boggling that he got picked, what, 6th overall? Crazy. I’ll eat crow if he pans out but I don’t see it.

I say screw PFF either way..

It's a bunch of interns grading for a website when they have no f****** idea what they're talking about.

Difference between going against backups in last preseason game and what he will see as the season starts.

He has very little football talent.

Did Harold Landry, Simmons or anyone half decent start last game on their defense?

I guess it’s great our first round pick is grading out good against other teams backups.

A lot of us on this board said early on that Penning wasn't an NFL LT. He needed to play RT or move inside to G in the NFL.

Best possible scenario is letting Penning work thru it and see if the light comes on. Burying him on the bench won't help him or the team..

Worst case (or Best, depending on who you ask) is that Carr gets decapitated

PFF has Carr ranked as their QB21. You should defer to them on all of your player analysis

Thats ranking moron.

Check the actual pff scores/perf from last season compared to player pay.
