How bad of a fricking is this for us?

The only reason we have this overpaid guy on our team is to keep Payton happy by keeping his pet.

This may literally prevent us from getting an actual QB next year.

I am melting over this.

Isn’t it all voidable though? Can’t we cut him?

The contract is voidable. You think Payton leaving changes that?

So many of you know nothing about contracts but love to talk about contracts.

That doesn't mean that we won't have salary pro-ration if we do cut him for the bonuses we've already given him/used to convert salary.

We just lost all the grit and toughness within the organization.

Don’t talk about Taysom hill right now.

He may be doing us a favor. Since he's retiring, the new coach has no ties to Taysom, and can easily say 'Sorry bruh- we can't pay you.' and cut him with no hard feelings.

He won a fricking Superbowl

In New Orleans

Short of fricking or eating kids....there is no tarnishing his legacy

Some of you really need to learn that the NFL isn't MLB when it comes to contracts.

And what would that look like, can you detail it?

He's getting $10M guaranteed next year with a $12M cap hit. He shouldn't be on our team

You don't get to just "cut" salary that is against the cap. First year following the NFL?

Jesus Christ STFU Moron. Do you also give him credit for all the all-pro caliber talent we have on the team?

Man, I pity your clientele.

Payton is the most overrated coach in the NFL. The personnel moves this team has made the past 3 years are baffling.

Ireland is very good at his job. He revolutionized our talent acquisition when Payton was doing things like the 2014 draft and signing Jarius Byrd.

He’s evaluated and brought in plenty of other players that outweigh this
