Stadium talk. They pop up every so often on FB. Says Manning worst Saints qb ever. Seriously?

Numbers wise, yes. Wasn't his fault. Richard Todd was the worst

The man ran around in the backfield for years here. If he played during post free agency he would have left us in the dust and probably win somewhere else. He was stuck in New Orleans.

If second or third best QB in Saints history equals worst best QB in Saints history then OK I guess

The Billy Joe’s weren’t bad.

Wuerffel was awful.

But worst Saints starting quarterback I’ve ever seen since the late 70’s is Heath Shuler, and it isn’t close.

And he played for the worst HC I’ve ever seen for the Saints.

He was the NFC offensive MVP one year. Don’t think the Billie Joe’s came close.

Yeah, these people don't know shite. 1978 NFC player of the year. Pro Bowl in 1978 and 1979 back when it actually meant something to get pick for the Pro Bowl. The only 2 years where the Saints actually competitive. Among his peers at the time Bradshaw, Staubach, Stabler, Griese, etc. he was one of the most respected. Its weird because his sons will both end up in the Hall of Fame and Archie was vastly more talented than either of them and it isn't close.

Brees
Hebert
Manning
Brooks
Everett
HM: Blake

Bottom 5:
Shuler
Hobert
Bouman
Tolliver
Todd

There were worse, but they weren’t really actually starters.

That must have a horrible draft class to take him in the first round. I can't think of a more jekyll and hyde QB than Richard Todd. Dude could go out and throw for 300 and 3-4tds one game and the next throw 4-5 picks.

Not the worst and not even close to being the Saints’ worst, but massively overrated. Archie’s fanboys act like he had no part in the Saints struggles during his career. He had a really good year in ‘78 and another good year in ‘79. I’ve seen enough of Archie to know he didn’t protect the ball well and made a lot of bad throws, too. He’s one of the two best QBs in Saints history, which tells you just how sorry the Saints history was before Drew Brees.
