Don't be surprised if Wilson sticks around for his 2nd year. He was with Moore in Dallas form '19-'21.

stick for vet minimum. don't think he's worth crap. and if he sticks, more reason to trade olave for scraps.

Sheperd seems like a guy that would be better at 3-4 DE than 4-3 DT.

I don't know. Listed at 6'4" 315lbs he could be 3-4 NT but he's not very stout against the run thus far with us. Maybe at 3-4 DE in base, run down & yardage situations.
Not a big fan of the extension, pending the details of course.

Between the two, I wanted neither (lol), but I guess that means Saunders will be out.

It seems like Moore wants to build the D line. Taking a page from Philly, although the Saints have a lot of work to do to get to where Philly’s D-Line is. That was the strength of the Eagles.

shepherd had the higher dead monies number and appears to fit and provide more versatility in a 3 man front

Could simply be adding a dummy year to spread his hit out more on a restructure, although an actual 1 year extension wouldn't be shocking. Gonna guess the former though.

He already had the void years for 2026 - 2028 from when they restructured him last year.

I did question in another thread the other day why doesn't ML ever do extensions for guys about to hit FA. Shepherd was not one of the guys I had in mind

It is now possible to extend that out to 2029 though (the 5 year max), which is what I suspect they are doing.

Dalvin Tomlinson got cut by the browns.

He could be another cheapish option at tackle. Great against the run and decent against the pass. Always has a bunch of tfl.
