If they did fine her, she should go after the "I am just trying to ensure we protect the health and safety of the players. That was clearly helmet-to-helmet and I am concerned about our (alleged) focus on player safety when we let hits like that go without throwing a flag. Also why is it that we seem to place a higher value on certain player's safety than others? (wink, wink, you sure you want escalate this Roger?)."

frick these assholes. frick 'em right in th epussy.

I kind of hope he does. He'd jump the shark and come out looking like Junior Galette.

It would be the beginning of the end of Goodell's reign of terror.

So would the league office, at a time when it’s essentially hiding under the bed and waiting for the danger to pass, dare to whack Gayle Benson for saying that which Goodell won’t?

In the NFL where it's a man's world, Goodell's manhood is being challenged by a woman, Gayle Benson. My money's on the woman.

I hope she can lead the revolt to bring down the hypocrisy of the NFL head office and their inconsistent, don’t give a shite about the integrity of the game BS.

Man. Yesterday I said she was probably the weakest owner in the league and us the smallest market when someone posed the question as to why she wasn’t doing more.

Man was I wrong. Mrs. B.

She has both the toughness and delicate nature of dealing with matters. She has the skill to carve you up without you ever realizing what she just did. Very powerful woman.

She may be the newest, but the management team, specifically Dennis Lauscha, has been around a long time and is well known amongst the other owners. I can almost guarantee that he helped draft this letter.

They won’t fine her. Expect another super bowl awarded to NOLA as a peace offering.

Goodell works for Mrs Benson.

I hope she plays that card.

Ditto.

My initial reaction to her letter wasn’t all that positive. But after rereading it and having some time to digest it, I’m realizing what a strong response it was.

Major props, Mrs. B.

Initially I wasn’t impressed either by the response by Mrs. Benson, but after reading it again and seeing the media’s reaction to it, she handled it better than any man could have in her position.

I wish the owners would realize their pockets would be fuller with a better commissioner.

That was one of those classic “nice-nasty” letters moms used to send to school teachers and admins

I want the Saints to get something out of this. It won’t even begin to make up for what was taken away but the league should do something. Cap relief, an extra draft pick, an extra home game...something.

Outvoted 31-1, as long as the checks clear. Profit trumps morality every time in corporate ethics. You never do what's "right." You always do what makes you the most money!

He would be hung by his balls on a rusty nail by the media.

Colin Cowheard was saying today how NOLA and the Saint’s team can’t say anything regarding integrity. That they have the least integrity of any franchise. How can a coach that was suspended for a whole year for Bountygate etc,etc . I seriously wanted to hurt that prick . Sorry no link
