WWL went for the lazy hire. They think going local is a fan favorite but we should have done a national search.

It's sad that the Saints have one of the best voices in all of sports in their own back yard in Joel Meyers and they've been through two hires and still haven't hired him.

He's worse than Strief and I was of the opinion that Strief had to be the worst in the league by a good margin.
They actually hired someone worse than Strief.

My assumption is he would have done just the Saints. Back when Strief was hired Meyers reportedly wanted the job.

As much as think Joel is the best in BB, was not impressed when he did some preseason Saints games a while back

I remember when this board thought Strief was the worse... and Hoss was a "professional" who would do much better... despite the fact that Hoss had no play by play experience.
Hoss is a "gather the fact and report them quickly" guy. He would make a GREAT sideline reporter IMHO.
Unfortunately, just like their long lost brothers at WWL TV, WWL Radio is just a shell of what it once was and it can no longer command corporate support like it used to.
It's just an average, middle-market station these days.

I don't know about the worst cause I haven't heard all the other ones.
But within the last few years I've had to listen to a good number of games on the radio due to work I'm usually driving.
Definitely not the kind of broadcast I'm use to listening to.
