Audacy doesn’t care much about this market and went for the cheap, easy hire.

I literally turn off the radio every time I hear his voice regardless of a game or interview. He makes listening to Bobby ramble seem like a good time.

Should have given Ken Trahan a serious look.
I know it’s high school games, but his calls on the radio are pretty damn good.

The program director at Audacy makes the decisions it then had to get approval from the Saints but it is PD that makes the hire.

The crazy part is competent radio guys are easily found in South Louisiana. I can think of 3 guys off the top of my head that probably would have loved to have the job and would have been really good, but for some reason they keep hiring guys that don't have any business in the booth.

He's one of the three I referenced in my post above. I'm pretty sure I remember reading Joel wanted the job when Strief was hired.
