In car grabbing lunch and I think the basic requisite would being
able to follow the action without pausing every time a play is ran, to explain who is doing what. And he cannot even do that.

I thought Zach strief was bad but Hoss makes him look like Cosell

Jim and Hokie can never truly be replaced but that fact that we can’t find a competent radio guy blows my mind

Hoss is absolutely terrible. Strief was much better…Henderson should not even be mentioned amongst either

The Saints replaced the worst play by play guy, Streif, with someone even worse, Hoss.

Play by play is tough, this is what you would expect when a NFL team hires 2 guys with zero experience calling play by play at any level.

After he paused to figure out who caught, he put a stamp on it by calling him Rashid Sha-speed

Oh PBP is absolutely tough, which is why guys do it for years (decades) before they can fall into a professional job like that.

It's kind of a trend at this point, no?

Our head guy retired. Let's just promote the guy next to him for the job.

First time listening to them on the XM broadcast. It’s real real bad.

I like listening to WestWood One football broadcasts during my drive in to work. It’s impressive how these broadcasts have competent announcers and color analysts. I always think about the number of hours that these guys prepared in college and internships to sound so smooth in their descriptions of the game. Meanwhile the Saints can’t hire professional talent.

There’s a reason he was moved from the sportscaster desk to the newscaster desk while at WWL TV.

the worst. Always sounds like he has a sore throat. he is awful as is Dome PA announcer. Why can't the dome get someone with an authoritative voice like Dan Borne'

You really can't follow what's happening on the field listening to him.

Not a fan of Deuce either....why does he have to say the same thing more than once...so repetitive.

Doesn’t he have a spotter? I know the game is fast but someone has to relay him the personnel on the field.

It’s like he’s flipping through a program every time someone touches the ball, trying to find their name. He already struggles with describing the play on the field.

I agree 100%.

I know there isn't another Jim Henderson, however, can we please just hire someone that can simply explain what is going on the field for those of us stuck in our cars for stretches of the game.

We don't need someone with any ties to New Orleans Sports. We just need someone competent with experience.
