I don't have a link as it was an interview on the PMT podcast today but basically he said if the Saints win the Super Bowl to look for Sean's name to come up as Drew's time is coming to an end, both Green Bay/Cleveland have franchise QB's, and it wouldn't surprise him if Sean wants to become the first coach to win a Super Bowl with two different franchises.

Thoughts? It would be a good problem to have if we win the Super Bowl but as good as the defense is playing and how young they are, I would hope Sean would stick around if Drew wanted to stick around for a shot at repeat titles.

Payton isn't going anywhere, Super Bowl champions or not.

Yeah, frick you Mike. Why would he want to go to any other organization? He literally could kill a kid and Gayle and Mickey won't fire him.

I think we can all agree that Sean is a little arrogant and driven by power...I don't think there is any organization in the NFL that will give him more freedom to do and say whatever he wants than ours does

STFU

"I think Zach Strief said it best last week: I'll be here as long as they'll have me," Payton said.

Under contract until 2021.

He’s built a tremendous program in New Orleans of all places. No reason to risk leaving. Some say so he’d have Rodgers?? Rodgers doesn’t look the same and seems to have lingering injury concerns. Idk, of course that could change and he could become his old self again, but still not worth leaving a top organization to rebuild another.

Super Bowl or not, Payton isn’t leaving. This roster has way more talent than Cleveland/Green Bay.

Sean has 0 chance of leaving this offseason

Best shot teams had was after 2016 before him and Loomis sat down for their end of the year meeting and he recommitted to being here long term.

This team is stacked for this year and next year to make legit SB runs. Sean isnt leaving that for a rebuild elsewhere right now.

Sean is locked in IMO till Brees retires and will reevaluate his situation here depending on the QB situation going forward from that point.

No shot. This seems like lazy clickbait journalism.

Sean also has an unprecedented amount of power in the organization, add in a second super bowl win? Yeah he has it made here, even with drew being done soon.

He has a good gig here, you don't leave that for fricking Cleveland or even GB where they make it clear you don't have much say over personnel.

End of discussion on leaving until after 2021.

Now if he isn't extended by the end of 2020/before the 2021 season that is likely his last year, but he will be here until at least the end of the 2021 season.

Don't be surprised if the national media attempts to frick over New Orleans' professional sports teams.

I think his name is just a hot one to throw around. Like you said, what reason does he have to leave?
