re: Mike Florio: Don't be surprised if Sean Payton's name comes up for coaching vacancies
Id say there is close to no chance he leaves...especially for cleveland. At least green bay is plausible, he wanted that job before the saints and a few years with rodgers is probably an attractive offer with the mystique of green bay

how many HC's have won a SB with 2 different starting QBs?

Joe Gibbs comes to mind (Theismann, Doug Williams, Mark Rypien?). And Bill Parcells (Jeff Hostetler, Phil Simms)

Pretty short but impressive list.

He’s have to be traded which would cause quite a dramatic ordeal that nobody would want

Exactly. The fact that you know this and the sports writer doesn't shows just how useless that guy is. He's just grasping for click bait.

re: Mike Florio: Don't be surprised if Sean Payton's name comes up for coaching vacancies
I mean, it's a fun thought experiment for a national guy like Florio, but unless Sean has a burning desire to coach elsewhere, it doesn't make much sense.

Sure, Bridgewater is no Brees, but there's no reason at this point to think he won't be above average. Also, there's the fact that this team has key players who are still young, meaning a good Teddy at half of what Drew makes gives Mickey room to keep those pieces in place for the next few years.

Finally, his appreciation to Tom Benson for his loyalty during Bountygate is real. His relationship with Gayle and presumably with Mickey is airtight, so why leave that if you don't have to (and he certainly doesn't have to, as he'll leave on his own terms).

Makes little sense, IMO.
