Man that sucks. My dad and I talked Saints with him for at least a half hour after the point after show for the Jets game last season. Super nice guy. Loved his draft guide when he made it.

Damn. I feel like he was just on the radio. I’d hear him on with Tommy Tucker on Monday mornings on the way to work and everyday I’d listen to sports talk on the way home. I am totally shocked right now. RIP Mike.

Damn. When I was just first getting into football, my dad would buy his draft guide for me and we would look at it for hours together. May he rest in peace.

Just days after learning he had terminal cancer, Mike Detillier has died at the age of 65.

Detillier planned to share his condition with his WWL audience after Labor Day… on his 66th birthday on Tuesday.

The long-time NFL and college football analyst was just diagnosed less than two weeks ago.

He has been on the radio until recently and dounded fine. I didn’t even know he was sick.

I enjoyed listening to him with Bobby and Deuce, and really whoever else he spoke on air with. Seemed to just have a genuine love for football in Louisiana. Life is too short.

He had planned to announce the cancer on his 66th birthday Tuesday.

Pancreatic cancer is a motherfricker.

Bummer. Sad story that he couldn’t last to even say bye on the radio.

Remember first hearing him with Buddy D in the 90s

This. Prayers to his family

Selfishly, I’m sad not to have him around to analyze our crazy obsession with this nfl franchise

He was only 65?

Holy shite. I figured he would be 80 or so.
