Either roll with what we have or draft a QB in the mid-rounds to groom behind Shough and Rattler. Rattler still has a couple years on contract, so take advantage of not having to overpay a veteran #1 or #2 QB.

If Shough is the guy, eventually we can work out a trade of Rattler or pickup a decent compensatory pick by losing him in FA.

and if you're going to say we left points out on the field buddy buddy you know Spencer had that same bad luck too.

We left points on the board from pity kneeling at the Panthers 7 yard line.

And if you’re comparing rookie QB’s on shitty teams, Cam Ward, the #1 overall pick’s highest passer rating so far in a game this season is 92.2.
If you’re able to get an offer like the Bears got from Carolina for Bryce Young, you take it.

If the Saints are picking #1, you’d need someone like the Jets or Browns, who have plenty of ammo to trade up, to fall in love with Mendoza. Best case scenario would be that Mendoza dominates the postseason, and pulls away from the rest of the QB options. Either you have a massive trade haul coming in, or have an easy decision to make with the pick, assuming the coaching staff isn’t sold on Shough by the end of the season.

Multiple trade downs in the draft would be the best way to jump start a rebuild, but you need the offers, and Loomis gonna Loomis.

Both players are on contract years, so it’s a win to get something in return rather than just lose them in FA.
Low cost, 2nd tier players at RB, TE, interior OL. Going to need to spend premium draft picks on impact players at WR, Edge, CB, NT

Definitely not a 5th. Why do people keep posting mocks with Olave for a 4th and Shaheed for a 5th? We have blatantly stated that we want a 2nd and a 3rd and haven't traded them because of that. So what drives the thought of either player getting traded for some garbage arse return? It makes 0 sense. Most people have an idea of the return and its not likely a 5th. Its dumb to say "who knows" when the team is telling you what they want for him.

Right. They’ll get more than that if through compensatory picks if they lost them through FA.

I’ve seen Rattler make that play 30 times this year

And all of those passes were behind the receiver.
I’d prefer ride out another season with Shough and Rattler, maybe add a low cost veteran. This offseason focus on putting some NFL level weapons around the QB, and fix the interior OL. That way, if you end up picking a QB in the 2027 1st round, you’re able to take advantage of their rookie contract and spend more on other positions.

I’m just here for the Pels getting blown out in the 3rd. Other than that, I have no interest until Willie is fired.

I’m betting against the Pels in the 3rd every game as long as Willie’s still the coach. Might get a couple more games out of it.
I decided to not renew my 12 game weekend package (a few rows behind the Pels bench) as soon as they hired Dumars. These dumbass trades have destroyed any remaining interest I’ve had in the team.

It’s obviously an ownership issue with both the Pels and Saints. Both are becoming unwatchable and seem to be intentionally depleting their assets over the years.

Shaheed is a #3 on any decent NFL team.

If he’s looking for #2 money, trade him while you can, and wait until the offseason to trade Olave, if you can’t lock him up on a reasonable deal.

Nah, but how do you not laugh seeing that headline? As polarizing at that trade was to just waive him before the bye is peak Loomis.

What trade? Velus Jones was signed as a free agent. Are you thinking of Vele?
