re: What’s your draft grade so far?

B+ for me so far.
I wasn’t a fan of the Tyson pick because of the injuries, but if he stays healthy it’s a steal.

It could be argued that Miller and Delp are both top 2 players at their positions, and there was going to be a massive talent drop off at those positions after those picks. Most of the TE’s in this class aren’t capable blockers and receivers.

Miller will probably mainly play NT, but is athletic enough to move around on the DL, which Staley is known to do.

Delp offers both and one of the more explosive TE’s after the catch. He and Zachariah Branch may be better pros due to how Georgia used them in their offense.
Excellent pick. One of the biggest needs on the team too.

Chris Bell? I think the injury has him fall a bit.

Germie Bernard or Skyler Bell would be good fits at that spot. Also one of Concepcion/Cooper Jr./Boston may fall to 42.

At some point we are going to finally get this right and he's going to trade back.

He hasn’t since 2007 (in any round), so we’re due.

I see WR, pass rusher, DB and OG brought up as needs all the time, but we never really talk about the NTs in this draft. There are some good ones and its arguably the worst spot on our team. Who are the NTs you like for our defense in the draft? Is it a much get position? I think we need a dominant nose to pair with Breese. I'd like to take one in the first 3 rounds. Lee Hunter Christen Miller Kayden McDonald Dontay Corleone Caleb Banks All guys I think would be a great fit for us. Get one.

Caleb Banks would be more of a DE in our defense. All spots along the line are needs this year. We have no depth at DE (4i), and could use a young cornerstone player to build around at NT. Moore has stated that he prefers to build from the inside out, so I expect them to add a difference maker on the DL (in addition to Edge).

I really like D’Angelo Ponds, Chris Johnson, Malachi Lawrence, Germie Bernard, and Skyler Bell there, depending on who we take at #8.

Can’t see him getting past Washington now.
They must really like him if they met with him a second time. He had a great pro day too.

Turns out Kaden Elliss is half Samoan. He also has two brothers in the NFL

His dad, Luther Ellis, also played in the NFL for 10 years, and made a couple Pro Bowls.

Saints should send raiders a 4th this year and a 5th next year

25%- Bailey
25%- Bain
20% Love
20%- Downs
10%- Delane

It’s really going to depend on what Arizona and Tennessee do. Arizona could go OL or Edge, then Tennessee mostly projected to go Edge, but have been linked to Love lately.

I think the Saints sign a RB and OG early in FA, then lean defense at #8, since Offense got the first two picks in last year’s Draft.

I don't recall that either, but that is a huge misstep if Loomis had a trade partner for a guy with an expiring contract if the plan was not to meet his demands.

Sounds like contract talks between Taylor and the Bears stalled and the trade couldn’t be completed. Can’t blame that on Loomis.

so what is tate, would he be our z? Isn't vele our z? Isn't Olave our X? Why do i feel like even drafting tate, we're missing a true slot guy still?

Vele would likely play more slot (he played 40%+ of his snaps last season out of the slot, and most of his snaps at Denver there). Moore will still move them around to take advantage of matchups though.

My one question would be what if DeMario leaves? I get that Washington should be all over Sonny Styles, but they are in the same camp I think as far as helping the QB. Whether it's RB or even WR. Deebo Samuel isn't what he once was.

I’ve seen rumors that Washington is leaning heavily towards taking a WR because they’re not planning on re-signing Deebo this year or McLaurin next off-season.

Reese just ran a 4.47 on his second try.

has Styles done the 40 yet?

That’s next. He also had an 11’2” broad jump. Looks like he’s solidifying himself as a top 10 pick.
