We got robbed. We should have easily gotten more or at least not given a pick in return. Loomis is an idiot.

Get real.
Works both ways.
However, everyone will eventually talk themselves into this isn't worth being upset over, etc. It is what is.

They could easily have gone another direction.
They have committed so much to Wilson. They just fired the joke that was Hackett.
I can't imagine a 3rd costing them Payton. I would have given them an extra day to decide after Ryans chose the Texans.
Who else had they even hired? I'm interested at their other options. Denver had to get this hire right.

It's what this loser fanbase does. If we don't absolutely fleece a team, we lost the trade. The bottom line is that Payton wasn't really interested in any other teams. He was using Houston and ARZ as leverage. Just imagine the melt on here if we didn't get ANYTHING for Payton and lost him to a team for NOTHING.
Also, we have a much higher rate of success in the second than the third round. Here's a list of players taken in the second round during Ireland's regime.
- Erik McCoy
- Pete Werner
- Michael Thomas
- Vonn Bell
- Alontae Taylor (who is better than Adebo)
- Marcus Williams

The Saints were never going to tell a team no they couldnt hire SP. Front offices work together and have professional courtesy with these kinds of matters. Player trades are fair game but employees are different territory. They had to get as much as they could with 0 leverage. People on the board crying about the trade are not realistic.

I don’t think the Saints had the same leverage other teams had when they traded head coaches because Payton was not a sitting head coach. When the Raiders traded Gruden, had the Bucs not met the price, the Raiders would have kept Gruden. I’m sure there were other circumstances that would have been tricky, but Al Davis would have just rolled with Gruden. The Saints ran the risk of getting nothing.
That said, they should have not given up the third rounder. The Broncos had as much to lose, if not more than the Saints, because if they don’t get Harbaugh or Payton, they hire another first-time head coach with the potential of being another Nathaniel Hackett. And with all of the draft capital they already gave out in acquiring Russell Wilson, they surely wanted someone with a track record of high offensive production as a head coach. They’re stuck with Wilson for now so they needed someone to make it work.
The Saints should have called their bluff on that.

Saints need a total overhaul.

I would not be complaining if we didn't have to throw in the 3rd. That is going to really look foolish if the 2nd we get and the 3rd we give turn out to be very close.
This deal was important for the future of the Bronco's franchise. They were not about to let it fall apart over a third.

Saints fans are known to be loud. Not smart. Our fanbase is the perfect example of the New Orleans educational system.

Saints need a total overhaul? You’re an idiot. They just need a qb. But that’s a tall task.

The deal that was important was last year slick and they sold their soul to do it. They were not selling the farm 2 years in a row. Believe it or not teams did good last year...without CSP.

Lol right?
Most division titles since 2006 in the south. But we were lucky in 09.

Ancient history, and the architect that got us those titles is in bed with a much better looking woman.
