For winning one Super Bowl and costing us at least two by being too selfish to turn over the reigns to Brady aka GOAT. Think of how selfish that was. And you guys thinks he loves New Orleans. We may never see him again unless he’s coming to pick up an endorsement check.

Brees did nothing about the cursed Saints franchise, just an insane amount of bad luck that should be it’s own book.

-Completely made up bountygate schedule wasted a few years
-Minnesota Miracle
-Worst non call of all time
-Unlucky injury and NFL changes playoff seedlings and then losing to Minny in OT
-Brady goes to Tampa and yet we beat them four of the last five times we’ve faced them, but we lose our superstar WR in the first game against them and lose him for two years
-This year lose our starting QB, lose a game to BS Covid regulations which get changed a week later, and then watch the Rams lose a 17 point lead to miss the playoffs

Just unreal

His selfishness was not playing the last few years, but rather the fact he never really gave the team a fair market value discount to bring in players to help the roster.

it's safe for you to go back to being Cowboys fan now.

And you're kidding yourself if you think cheesedick Brady was coming to play in small market New Orleans to throw to MT and a bunch of scrubs under Sean Payton's command. He left a historically winning situation in NE because he wanted to 1) basically run an already loaded team himself, which he got with a stand in mannequin of coach in Arians, and 2) be by the beach.

Brees was a great QB for the Saints but his lack of leadership and a spine outside of looking out for himself doomed this team.

He’s not the selfless guy he tried to portray and never did a single thing without making sure how it positively impacted him and made him money.

Saints should have moved on earlier from him, but as is typical let him go out on his terms and not what was best for the team.

Brees was 2nd in EPA/play from 2017-2020 only behind Mahomes.

Saints piss poor drafting and fa adds during his prime cost us at least 3 Super Bowls.

Even with that horrible late game break downs by the defense in both Viking games, the 9ers, Seattle and even the Rams game cost us after he got us the lead. Learn football before talking stupid shite first….

It's funny because this team with Brees is playing this weekend still.

Jameis ended the season as our leader in passing yards, td, least ints, and passer rating...

I’ll always be thankful for Brees but it’s a fact that his ego caused the Saints to miss out on Brady.

Payton should have made the tough choice.

You really think that it was selfishness on Brees' part? If he thought he could still lay at a high level, why would he step aside? If it was obvious he needed to be replaced, it was incumbent on the coaching staff and front office to make that happen.

Now get the sand out of your vagina and move on.

That’s so fricking stupid, how about thanking Loomis for never getting a mediocre (not good mind you, merely mediocre)when we were averaging 30 points a game and still losing.

Yea he will never be back. He bought a million dollar suite here for no reason and so did Sean in the same building.

New Orleans to Drew

Brees' NFL career began in 2001 with the San Diego Chargers, and he created the Brees Dream Foundation in 2003. Since then, he and Brittany say they have contributed more than $33 million to charitable causes worldwide.

The way parts of this city and team turned on him and publicly shamed him I will never be ok with. I don't blame him for getting his family out of here and even then he is still giving back to the city and state through charitable works.

In terms of hanging on too long...his arm strength was gone but his short to intermediate touch game was still effective enough to win. It was his inability to stay healthy that ultimately doomed his final years in New Orleans along with a series of other bad breaks. Some by chance and some orchestrated.

We scored 36 and 32 points respectively in the 2010 and 2011 playoff losses. Wish we would have had a little D those years.

We were top 5 in offense for almost all of his time here. Then, he gets it from both sides for hurting their respective political feelings.

I can’t blame only winning one Super Bowl on Brees.
