I think the vote passed was for up to 2 patches. And at different times. Like pregame warmup, during game, post game or practice. I wonder what restrictions they will have on what to spend the money on

If tweet fails to load, click here. NCAA jersey patches are projected to generate significant revenue, with top college football programs potentially earning $3.5 million to $6 million annually, and top men's basketball programs earning up to $2.2 million per year. Total annual valuations for premier schools can reach $12 million
LSU already has a deal with Wooside Energy.

You prefer that money from Perth , Australia?
Woodside energy is not from here. Money is money

Wrong board. It affects the Saints draft pick. Not so much LSU.
re: Do we think Chambliss staying at OM means he gets 6th year approved?

Ole Miss filed another appeal yesterday and hired some big shot lawyer. They are pretty confident he will get another year. frick it. I hope he does get it and we go to their house next year and smoke em in front of all their fans.

I was hoping they would go with “The Krewe” I don’t like the pelicans either.
The amount of money this sport makes in a year is in the billions. Less than 2% of these student athletes actually make it to the NFL. I agree major regulatory change needs to happen, but let these kids get some of that money. They are the ones experiencing controlled car crashes every week for our entertainment. Why shouldn’t they get paid for it? Where do you think all the money should go to? I do agree this Wild West crap where the players have too much power and no real responsibility to a school needs to change. But I agree they should be compensated.
Current Perception of LSU/LANE Affecting Recruits?

Hopefully when we get our QB committed that will help.
Edit: Haha definitely did not know what bullish meant.

I know he has options and will get his bag no matter what, but do we get to have our doctors assess him before we drop that kind of money? Or is it we trust what his doctors say about prognosis?

If tweet fails to load, click here. Ole Miss put in another waiver for him yesterday. More detailed. He's staying at ole miss if granted.
It's reported that he's comanding 5-7 million. We obviouy werent his first choice. Scheduled LSU only after TT got their man. And the Kentucky visit went really well according to reports. We may end up getting him, but even though im not sold on the risk/reward with him esp with the price tag for someone who can't play for a long time due to injury, we need someone with experience for next year. lane needs at least a year to develop and mold the next Chambliss or Dart. So unless webadmit next year is reload year with no expectations to actually win, we will over pay for Leavitt.
Chambliss waiver

Even if somehow he gets it, it seems like he may have committed to Ole Miss for the final year. Why would they go through the trouble of filing yet another waiver on his behalf with loads of new supporting evidence unless he gave them a verbal. If they thought he would follow Lane they wouldn't do that. Unless they are just that desperate And hopeful.

If tweet fails to load, click here. You would think Lane had something planned or knows something that is not public. If it's a one year guy we need while he grooms the next guy you would think he could have at least had Austin Simmons. Lane recruited him personally and spent 2 years grooming him only for him to transfer to Missouri? He may not be good enough. But He knows the system and could have at least been brought in to compete for playing time.aybe he wanted a guaranteed starting spot.
But In Lane I Trust.
Hopefully we get some good news soon.

Charlie Weis to the NFL or Smoke?
Posted by bigbonvi on 1/4/26 at 5:11 pm
Lane Kiffin was already an elite offensive coach at USC and helped shape Alabama’s offense years before Charlie Weis Jr. showed up FAU. This is sourced from a college coordinator apparently. So for now take it with a grain of salt.
Weis Jr. deserves credit as a great play-caller and optimizer, but the system, philosophy, and track record belong to Kiffin.
Calling it “Charlie Weis Jr.’s offense” ignores a decade of elite production Kiffin had without him. He didn't take over play calling till Ole Miss. He joined Kiffin at FAU
If he gets an NFL job, good for him. I hope he stays for at least one year though.

Im Assuming you are saying it like, he did that as a rookie, imagine where he will be with more experience and a full starting caliber cast. Not, this isn't impressive, those are rookie numbers.

There’s no way we pay him in the off season with the blood clot issue unless he agrees to a super team friendly deal. It’s just too risky.
I agree to have caution. But this ain't Chris Bosh. It's his first ever clot and they caught it early. But yea, let's move on from him.
Current Status: Olave has been discharged from the hospital and is doing well, but will miss the New Orleans Saints' final game of the season against the Falcons.
Recovery Timeline: He is expected to be sidelined for about a month before being ready for the offseason program, which typically begins in April.
Long-Term Outlook: The issue was detected early, and all indications are that the long-term outlook is positive with no prior history of blood clots.
Season Summary: Olave finished his 2025 season with career highs in receptions (100), receiving yards (1,163), and touchdowns (nine) across 16 games played.
The future is bright sons
