Lets talk about Carr's on field demeanor

1) he seemed very theatrical fighting through some injuries and pain at the end. i know he's trying to be tough but also kind of seemed a bit drama
2) it comes across badly when you are bitching at your teammates and its plain as day there is no mutual respect back at you.
3) does he think he's patty mahomes now constantly doing the finger thing to the coaches of getting the next play call?

I think Amazon's broadcast is different than CBS and FOX and so we got a lot more views of Carr between plays than we normally do.
Something about the way things transpired last night made me think he's got a below average IQ. He just looks dumb the way he has this blank look at times on the sideline, and it seems like most of his teammates appreciate his passion and toughness but that he's kind of cringe.
During the game I asked about his Wonderlic score and another poster looked it up and he got a 20, which isn't terrible but well below average for a qb

seemed like pete car was coaching up a toddler on the sideline. its like he's being treated delicately.

A QB is as good as his OL is and others in the huddle having a decent IQ. Too many ego's sink the ship.
I see him being a leader. Without that we are nothing.

I think Carr's biggest weakness is his inability to shoulder blame and his response is to lash out and make others the scapegoat for his mistakes. This destroys his credibility amongst the team. It is akin to a coach throwing players under the bus but worse.

I hate to say it, as I thought Carr could have success with our O talent but it's Carr. Oline did a decent job pass blocking yesterday, better than past weeks, Carr was just bad. I don't like PC calling plays but sometimes it just has to fall on the QB. A good QB can get over bad play calls, he's just missing reads and throws, there's blitzes that are going untouched. Sorry, but 7 games in and this offense playing this bad, this is on Carr.
We all want to blame play calling (I have myself) but a good QB can still make the plays when called.

It’s tough because on the one hand I get it, the play calling is sub standard and some of his teammates (Olave), could certainly give more effort and I imagine that it’s the same if not worse in practice.
On the other hand, as a QB it’s your job to earn the respect of your teammates and keep them engaged, screaming at them for giving poor effort when you are also playing poorly is unlikely to fix the issue and is likely to make it even worse.

4) Carr in that huddle with Mike AK and Taysom seemed good on the surface, but AK had bad body language the whole time. Dude is done. Carr can't keep crawling every wr arse when they run the wrong route. That's not leadership.

It’s hard to be a good leader when you are so inferior at your job than your teammates. Then add the fact that he’s now showing them up on the field (Olave’s attitude sucks too don’t get me wrong) and that’s a bad recipe.

To your 3rd point, there are a lot of QBs that do that and plenty more that did that before Mahomes.
One of the problems with his temper tantrum responses when things don't go right is not everyone responds well to that. It appears that AK & MT are either professional enough to be above it, or that style works for them. It 100% does not work for Olave, and it forces him to crawl into a hole.
The best leaders know how to adjust the way they approach each individual when they have to correct/complain about something. Occasional outbursts are overlooked, but when it's your go to move that you do 100% of the time; you will see people turning their backs to you.

If he pulled his groin, I can empathize. Did it one time playing basketball. Talk about debilitating. It’s f’n insanely painful. Guy battled. That’s all you can ask for. He’s not a super star player. He’s a good to average qb. When you have a good to average qb with a shite coaching staff, this is what you get

I said this in another post. The mini bye week is the perfect time to change something. You either change the QB or the play calling. IMO, the easiest change is the play calling primarily because of the contract situation. When that inevitably does not work, change the other during the bye week in 3 weeks.
Sad reality is, I don't expect DA to make any changes until the bye week at the earliest.

i see why oakland had enough...no leadership qualities...quick to point out other guy ...cant go through normal progression..just throws check downs..never thought i'd say this but, give Winston a shot.. at least he's a team mate and not a little whiny bitch..

Trying out for Jack Sparrow in the next pirates movie since Depp is damaged goods now.

I think that's partly because he looks like a 1920s silent film star wearing too much eyeliner.

his demeanor is the only thing that gave me hope for the future with him at quarterback. he needs to call out people that dont have their head in the game and are not giving 100% effort on plays they dont think they will be involved in.

When its 3rd down in crunch time in a tie game and your "star" receiver quits on a route, yeah, you chew his arse out because his beta OC wont dare open his mouth
