Purely from a business side, that doesn’t seem smart?

Wilson trade

The link has to do with mickey only offering a 4th for thibodeaux. I'm proud of him for sticking to his guns.

I figured the giants wanted a 3rd and change but supposedly they were sticking to their guns for a 2nd rounder. Thibodeaux is due almost 14mil while tyree Wilson is only due around 4.5

Thibodeaux is the better player imo but we will see how Wilson looks in the saints scheme.

I mean he is kind of betting on himself.

3/40 he was probably only getting about 18/20 guaranteed.

K'lavon chaisson got 10.3 guaranteed for 1 year.

I'm very happy with the Wilson trade at this point. He seems like a great person too in that mold of a Chase Young mentality

probably something you say for PR...but yeah this is probably more about betting on yourself and fishing for a bigger deal next offseason

yeah, it is a gamble but it makes sense.

40 edge rushers make more than 11M a year.

The average of the top 20 is 32M/yr. If K'Lavon thinks he can have a great one year season and put himself on the market...then there is a very good chance he is making more than 40 over the next 3 years.

He was awful with Jacksonville and the Raiders, but was a huge part of New England's playoff run last year.

The big thing with him is that he is purely a pass rusher. He is absolutely dreadful against the run. I believe he led the league in missed tackle % last year.

You're still salty about JD5 pushing Nuss to the back of the bus. Get that hate out your heart.

He's betting on himself. Takes a 1 year deal, has a great year and turns that into bigger money. It's not all that unusual.
