has he proved he can stay healthy? lsu fans are so soft
Are we talking about Daniels? He's been in the league for two seasons and played every game in his first. He's played 11 more games in his first two seasons than Mathew Stafford did. And the injury that kept him out most of the season was a dislocated elbow on his non-throwing arm.

I’m very happy with the Wilson trade at this point. He seems like a great person too in that mold of a Chase Young mentality
People are talking about Wilson being a bust in LV, but he had 12 sacks and 91 tackles in his 3 years there. Chaisson had 3 sacks and 60 tackles through his first 3 years.

Tbh that seems like an overpay to sign him that long for that much given his prior production, so I'm not mad this didn't work out.

10 mill for 1 yr instead of 20 mill for 3 yrs guaranteed. It only works against him if he has a bad year..

He hasn't had a good year yet. A couple of decent at best. And he just came off a 1 year stint with NE that didn't work out. Also had a 1 year stint with the Raiders the year before. Dude is just fishing.

I’m just saying, I think he’s an idiot for his reasoning being Washington has a better chance to contend than we do. Objectively stupid position to take
Their defense is trash and like it or not, Daniels is not a big guy and might not hold up
So I’ll keep laughing at him for what he said

He's betting on himself. Takes a 1 year deal, has a great year and turns that into bigger money. It's not all that unusual.
This is his third straight one year deal
He got a 3/40 offer and opted for another 1 year deal

man, there are some dumb fricking comments on that post. lol

Agreed

Also agree.

He needs to be smart about what abuse he takes. He's bigger than people think, but he is lean and could probably use a little more bulk. Him holding up is a concern I do share.

Wants to play with Daniels and sometimes being too close to home isn’t a good thing

Dumb being dumb. All he has to do is plant wrong or get rolled up and he’s out for the year looking for another prove it 1 year deal. This time it won’t be $11 million and more like $5 mil. A guy with one year of real production to pass up an extra year of guaranteed money is completely retarded and his agent should be fired for not telling him he’s making a bad decision.

I love when lsu fans get all butthurt when you don't say their players are the best. Rg3 2.0 is spot on.

I’d need to see the guarantees on the deal, before I call him an idiot.
Also money is big or biggest factor most players sign, but not always the only factor.

I think it’s pretty close. JD5 is great but I think we have more playmakers now.

I mean he is kind of betting on himself.
True.
But he's about to be 27 and now is the time to fill up that bank account. He can chase championships later.
K'Lavon Chaisson (27 this season) - 17.5 career sacks - 1/11 or 12 mil deal.
Dre'Mont Jones (29)- 37.5 career sacks - 3/39.5 mil deal.
Bradley Chubb (29/30) - 48 career sacks - 3/43.5 mil deal
Joseph Ossai (26) - 14.5 career sacks - 3/36 mil deal.
Boye Mafe - (27) - 20 career sacks - 3/60 mil deal.
Also, he's gonna have a lot of competition in Washington.

]Edge K'Lavon Chaisson[/b]: Signed a one-year, $12 million deal. (Ian Rapoport)
Edge Charles Omenihu: Signed a one-year, $4 million deal with a maximum upside of $7 million. (Cameron Wolfe)
Edge Odafe Oweh: Signed a four-year, $100 million deal with $68 million guaranteed. (Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo)
Edge Deatrich Wise: Re-signed on a free-agent deal. (Team)
They also have Dorance Armstrong and drafted Joshua Joseph.
It'll be interesting to see how it works out. If they actually got the Saints up to about 13/year, I'm scared he made a mistake.
