Gruden couldn't draft for shite (rumors are he ran the 1st round picks) but he was shockingly good at offense with so much time off so this could work.

Yes, I like that! Maybe, Allen could bring him on as an assistant coach or OC or something. If not, then maybe as an consultant.

That Super bowl when Tampa beat Oakland was one of the biggest mismatches ever.
I mean he was the one that designed the Oakland offense.
I think he even went as far to be the scout team quarterback in the week heading up to the game. So the Bucs D was prepared and wouldn't you know it, they picked off like 5 passes?

Considering Payton is Payton because he learned from Gruden, I don't see how anyone can see this as anything but a positive. Pete is running the offense that Gruden innovated and Gurden knows Carr better than anyone.
