Nobody mentioning Ricky Williams? Good player but we gave up a whole draft to get him.

Sullivan is easily the worst IMO.

Traded 2 1st rounders to move up and take an absolute sack of shite.

Can we all just agree that we have drafted some shite bags of players over our history in the 1st rd?

Probably the worse 1st round bust as any team in NFL history.

Toi Cook led to success? He was worse than Jason David. His was the original Toast. The strings of obscenities my father yelled at him every game was why I sound like a sailor half the time.

Toi's successful seasons were definitely in tandem with guys like Dave Waymer, Robert Massey, Milton Mack, with Gene Atkins patrolling.

I agree he had a hell of a time against Rice and Taylor but I think overall he was a solid contributor to a stout defense.

Pretty bad but not close to being the worst. I have been following Saint's drafts from the beginning and we can start at the beginning - Les Kelley. Then there was Erxleben and Shawn Knight. As far as I am concerned the draft blunder that still upsets me the most is a pick they did not make - La'el Collins in the 7th round.

Have to wonder why he felt that way. That was the Dome Patrol era and he got picked by a decent team.

Ricky Williams was a head case, but no where near the Saints worst draft pick. We got decent production out of him for a few years and then got a 1 and a contingent pick based on production, which may have been another 1, when we traded him to Miami.

Ditka was a much bigger bust for the Saints than Williams was.

From the standpoint of what position he played & how he failed so miserably, I would probably agree. But then the Saints drafted so many busts....

Vaughn Dunbar was a very good football player. He was explosive, but a knee injury ended his career. The worst #1 draft choice in my opinion is a tie in this order. Larry Burton, Russell Exleben, Rick Middleton, and the DT bum from Georgia. Shawn Knight lasted one year. He was picked up by another team his second year, but was cut during training camp.

In all fairness Stanley Jean Baptist was drafted were the experts had him rated. He was supposed tO have been a late 1st or 2ND round draft pick. Everyone was excited when the Saints drafted him. I don't remember anyone saying he was a reach when they dated him.

Really?

Name 10 ahead of him. I'd say a guy with so much potential can be a bust if he's unhealthy.

Pretty much every response in this thread has given you close to twenty players that were more of a bust than Vaughn Dunbar...

What's your deal with disliking Vaughn Dunbar? how random
