Is Ted Ginn becoming expendable this year?

WR was a question mark. They've added Meredith and TreQuan Smith among many other names and players down the depth chart. Ted Ginn Jr saves 3 mill with a June 1st cut, 2 mill straight up saved on cap if cut outright. 2.5 dead monies.

Is his spot on roster written in stone still?

Nope. Need the vet exp and locker room control.

Maybe next year.

I don't see the need to this year. We aren't trying to squeeze in talent at another position right now.

I agree he stays to mentor the young guys for a year. But at the same time it wouldn't totally surprise me if he was gone either

His speed separates him from the other receivers.

Literally.

I don't see a reason to cut proven WR talent.

frick no.

One guy coming off a knee injury and one is a rookie. How about we actually go into the year with the two guys we know are going to produce.

Ted Ginn has historically been an inconsistent and unreliable player. He will have his bright moments, but he will disappoint the very next play. I can see them parting ways with him. The vet presence is overstated here, because we have plenty of vets on this team.

Watch how this board works though. Many will chastise this, but the moment he is cut they will turn around and say what a great move

Yeah ginn isn't going anywhere.
I do think Tommy Lee makes a little step up this year has caught everything in camp and looks crazy quick.
Ginn is still really good in limited snaps and I could see him even sticking around next year

I’m not a ginn guy but there’s 0% chance he gets cut at his salary

when you go back and look at his number of games played in over the years, he's been healthy.

if he had been an injury liability then maybe yes but he hasn't been.

He's still explosive and by all accounts a great locker room guy

Sure with Carolina. Did you watch the Saints last year?

Let’s cut a guy after he had a really, really good year... I like your logic
