He's probably around 7-10 in the Top 10 QBs of all time, so not in the conversation of overrated at all.

QB but it always seems like his size gets him in the playoffs against the best D-lines.

He threw for 462 yards and 2 TDs against the 49ers, with great pass rushers in 2011. Over 300 yards and a TD against the Seahawks in 2013, 376 yards and 2 TDs against Panthers in 2017, and also in 2017 threw for almost 300 yards and 3 TDs against the Vikings, all those teams were good pass rushing teams. There are playoff games he did better in I didn’t include due to the defenses not considered as good. He’s played well in the post season, he’s had some awful regular season noon games also, it happens. Yes, yesterday he was awful

Eta Even against Vikings in 09 didn’t get many yards but threw 3 TDs, one of if not the best D in the league that year

If trolling, your attempt is lame. If you’re serious, it’s just dumb and uninformed.

Yeah, he’s in the upper echelon, for sure.

Top 25 maybe definitely not top 10.

Saints are the first ever 13-3 team to lose in the wild card round. They lost to cousins who has never won a big game in his career in regular season or post. A major reason was Brees playing like shite. Let that sink in. I can name 10 guys right now who if played in this era probably would've put up better stats than Brees. If Brees played in that era when defenses could actually hit people and it was hard to throw over the middle I'm pretty confident in saying he wouldn't last past a few years at the most.

Yeah dude...the guy with a SB ring, a few div titles and every meaningful passing record in the book is the most overrated QB in football history

Some of you need to re-read your shite prior to posting

Brees played in that era also. That wasn’t 20 years ago, more recent than you think. He’s without a doubt a top 10, even top 5 QB.

Yeah, and he got blasted with a major injury and was an above-average QB then. He wasn't on pace to get close to the numbers he has now. He makes a trip to NO, rule changes happen, all of a sudden his passing numbers steadily climb as the rules favor offense. Can't hit the QB anymore. Hmm. Nope. Overrated yes? Top 25 QB of all time? Probably. Top 10? Hell no. Great product of stats don't tell the full story. He's a guy who has numbers that should put him #1 if you just looked at stats until you actually watch the eye test games when it matters. Playoffs.

To be fair, I think Peyton Manning was super overrated come playoffs too. He and Brees were the greatest regular season QBs ever. Manning got bailed out twice by defense for his 2 rings. He also shite the bed against Saints to give them the win.

This should be a major tarnish on his reputation because the loss is on him and the loss has hall of shame numbers to it.

The record books say he is. He has won with less talent around him then every QB in my lifetime except Brady.

It was a freak injury and he was a young QB who constantly got better like most QBs do over time.

I’ve already posted his stats in playoffs in another thread. He’s had some amazing playoff games, even some he lost. You don’t even believe what you are typing out. Dude has been amazing, and done very well in the playoffs. You’re trying too hard here

Also, if a wildcard game tarnishes a nearly 20 year player’s reputation, that’s the most retarded statement yet

No, he's helmed some of the most epic shite the bed moments ever in the playoffs. The Saints have lost in epic fashion every single time stuff that goes down in the history books and he has contributed to some of those losses so it definitely falls on his shoulders. 2 straight playoff appearances at home and 2 straight times he cost the Saints the game. He played like shite in the RAMS game. Had he not played like shite the refs never would've had a chance to decide the game. Play before that game was over with a simple dunk pass to Thomas to seal the game.

He's overrated dude deal with it. Great career but he's not a top 10 QB. Brees got outplayed by a third string QB yesterday and a headcase at QB who has never been successful in the spotlight. Pathetic. You can't just keep overlooking the fact he keeps helming these massive meltdowns in the playoffs.
