For the record, I'm all for Saints hiring internally and promoting Dennis Allen to HC. Also I'm a Jameis supporter and would love to see him return. I think maintaining the culture built over the last 15 years is key, especially during these times.

Over the last week, however, I've noticed some interesting developments. Starting with New York Giants co-owner John Mara backing Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback. This came at a time where Brian Flores was the top candidate for the Giants HC job and fans speculated an effort to have Watson join Flores in New York.

However, according to this source , it appears Brian Daboll is now in line to take the position as Giants' new HC.

As of today, the Saints have requested an interview with Brian Flores. Could Flores be looking for a team that would pair he and Deshaun Watson together?

Now realistically, this is unlikely as the Saints have not even begun making any big restructuring moves. However, this is very interesting to keep an eye on. Flores has to land somewhere if not with the Giants.

What do you think a potential trade for Watson would look like? How much would you be comfortable with giving up for Watson?

I don’t give a shite about Watson. Dude will get suspended as soon as he’s traded and tries to play.

Regardless of that I’m still interested in Flores as a HC. I want him or DA. Cant believe the Dolphins let go of Flores

I don’t see anywhere on this forum mentioning Brian Daboll getting the Giants HC job before this post.

I added a couple of questions for some discussion. I’d love to hear what y’all think!

Rumors that he doesn't work well with others is why he was fired. Now is the Flores fault or the fault of Tua? That is the million dollar question. All I know is we can hate on Tua for being a Bammer or say he isn't what he was made out to be. Both are are true lol. But one thing we do know is we saw Tua for 3 years at Alabama and I never heard a single bad thing about him as far being a team guy or being hard to work with. Maybe Flores is a great coach but with such a good team culture at the Saints is it worth hiring someone that could mess that up?

I think the whole deal about not working well with others is overblown. He didn’t work well with their GM, who is a tool anyway.

The problem with flores is his offensive philosophy according to dolphin insiders.

He had an awful OL. Hard to really have any philosophy with that.

You could be right. But all we do know is the Dolphins fired a guy the media and fans are fawning over. A team that has been searching for a coach for years. When they seem to have found one they fire him? Then the Giants didn't hire him? Raises a lot of questions. Do they want to risk him messing up what a good thing the Saints having going in the coaches and front office.

The job is winning, not working well with others.

He showed pretty well with less talent than the Saints have.

He’s probably my favorite option as far as head coach for the future. The continuity is nice with Allen though.

But if the saints got him I’d guarantee it

Flores told Ownership it's me or Grier. Ross chose Grier. Flores had had enough of Tua and wanted Watson.

I don’t really understand the love for Flores. Great DC, ok head coach. I say DA or Bienemy

He was basically suspended the entire year. Big Ben got 4 games for raping two women. He will settle out of court and all this will go away. He will be starting next year for somebody

It’s funny. The GM fails to assemble a quality roster then fires the coach for not winning with so so players
