completely unrelated rant...silva seems to try way too hard to be legit recently

he kind of comes off as a guy that loves to speak about analytics because it makes him sound smart but he doesn't really understand them, so he's mostly just repeating the stuff from actual analytics people. He gets overly pissy on twitter any time one gets fired from a FO gig like its an attack on analytics.

Sean Payton will not draft an LSU player in the first round. He has stated that his biggest pet peeve is Saints fans asking him to draft LSU players. He skips LSU players just to spite us even when they are tremendous values at positions of need (Mathieu, Collins, etc).

Dude is a grade A douche and every time he tries to publicly troll and look cool (choke gesture during TNF in Atlanta, “SKOL” taunt to Vikings fans in playoff game, “worry about your meat” to Whole Foods butcher before this years playoffs, he mushes us and proceeds to blow that game or the upcoming game with his dumbassery.

I watched a few ASU games this year and he always stood out to me. The best player on the field everytime I saw him

What about the WROMSs?

The Wide Receivers of Moderate Size? I don't think they exist.

Silva is one of the best analytical researchers in football. But highly doubtful he has any inside sources. He’s going off his research which tends to be right.

Reminds me of Josh Cribbs. That’s good and bad.

I like Aiyuk

He has some poor mans Odell to him with his long arms and YAC ability. Robert Woods too, smooth and elusive.

if we could slip down to 29 and take him and grab an extra third or a late second then I'd do it in a heart beat.

His entire job is regurgitating the analytical work of other people

Bill Barnwell is probably the biggest analytics guy. He’s a bitch though. I like Ben Baldwin.

Like him, solid route runner, but didn't beat press man one time in that video. That'll be the biggest knock that scouts have against him. Too rich a price to pay at 24 when the draft is so deep at WR. Whatever WR we'd draft at 88 won't be 64 picks worth of value worse than Aiyuk this one year and that's really what it comes down to.

How many times did CD Lamb beat press in the Big12? Don’t disagree about the value BUT Aiyuk is the kind of guy Payton can scheme for to get free releases all day. He’d be our missing piece in this offense as a home run hitter. Reminded me of Emmanuel Sanders actually- and can learn from him + GOAT coach CJ. Think he would be the perfect fit

I’ve said it before but I can see Payton and the FO being shaky on Murray and Queen and decide to go WR

Arizona State WR Brandon Aiyuk, a possible first-round pick, underwent a core-muscle surgery today performed by noted surgeon William Meyers, sources say. Aiyuk has been dealing with the issue the last few months. Ran 4.50 at the Combine. Decided to fix now with no OTAs in sight.
