I’m sure glad all of you are here to tell Moore what he should or shouldn’t do to effectively run his system and his team. Good thing he has you guys to guide him, for he would be lost without you.

Well he’s the 7th highest paid running back, and by this time next year will be sitting around 10th. Idk where this idea that we’re paying him top 3 or 5 money came from, but this is a fantastic signing.

First of all, he's 7th in avg, not top 5 or top 3 like y'all are claiming. 2nd, the cap just jumped a ton and players are getting absolutely stupid contracts this year. You had a sub 50 catch receiver get paid $29 mil per, and a 7.6 sack per 17 guy get paid $30 mil per year. 3rd, you have some of the best backs still on their rookie deal, like Robinson, Gibbs, and Achane, all of whom are about to get paid far more (and Cook signed an extension prior to the start of last season when he would have made far more waiting but didn't want to risk injury).

If y'all think this was expensive y'all aren't paying attention.

What do you propose we do to support our young QB out of the backfield?

What message it send if you don’t address your near league worst rushing attack?

You don’t get good enough without trying to get good enough. If you followed Moore’s career, the MO of the offense is to establish the run game.

People on here are never able to adjust their brains for when contracts go up because of salary cap increases.

I just don’t think we are at the stage to be paying RB $13 million a year, top 5 money at his position, when we are just getting out of cap hell

We’re competing for the playoffs starting next season, what stage do you think we’re in?

Also what does the last part have to do with anything? Are we supposed to just not use cap space for a few years? We aren’t suddenly in cap trouble because of this contract or something.

If you are worried about money, you should probably worry about giving a mush-head WR2 $30mil a year, not this.

It'll be more like $35 mil per or more.

What’s funny to me is people more worried about money as if it’s coming out of their own pockets than signing quality players.

We should’ve relied on Estime so in 2028 we can spend money after Shough has been sacked 50 times over two seasons

Their only way out of not paying Olave is drafting a 1-2 this year. WR market is out of control right now.

Majority of this board was clamoring for us to draft a rb at pick 8 with any fix on the oline. Free agency opens and they sign a really underrated guard and a running back who’s a true home run threat and it’s a bad move? I don’t love the contract but it’s on par with what the market was yesterday. We didn’t set the market it was set for us. Yesterday was a success imo and they made two of the biggest issues on this team what appears to be a strength.

That has its own pitfalls for team morale. But I agree to the extent I’m more worried about the blood clot issue

$12 million a year is NOT going to hurt this team long term at all even if he doesn’t work out. The upside is comparable, maybe slightly lower, production than Love without needing to use our best resource on it

they need to let him play out 2026 and then franchise him. Really have to make sure he can play a season or two without getting hurt.

A season without hospital balls seemed to help

And if he wins that bet, we are paying him at least $40 mil plus likely with far higher guarantees.

I'd rather just bite the bullet now.

I’m thinking Moore is influencing these moves, and that’s sort of reassuring…

Paying Etienne isn't really a problem. We need playmakers and homerun hitters. If you get guys that can score the ball, that's kinda the point.

WR is kind of a desperate situation. They need to sign at least one vet and draft a guy relatively high.

Not sure they can afford not to pay Olave, as much as I don't want to.

Stop your complaining and enjoy the ride. It is so nice to be able to have some money to spend in free agency and some hope going into the season.
