It’s likely gonna costs multiple firsts and seconds. Definitely two each, maybe three.
Doubtful the Texans want Ruiz.
I hate to do it, but McCoy will have to go on the table.
Any team will want him. Great young player, but his contract is coming up and he will get paid big time. This would open up Ruiz going to center which is his better position.
I could also see Davenport going up for the same reason. Good player and really want to keep him, but will have to get paid after this year. And his replacement is already on the roster.
I don’t give up Lattimore.

I haven’t seen the details, but w Latt’s restructure I don’t see how they’d be able to afford to move him. All that money they moved back by converting to bonuses would have to hit the cap now.
I glad it appears fans are starting to come around to the idea that in order to get a player of Watson’s caliber you do have to move a quality player. Can’t just send a scrub bc fans don’t like him

I'd give up no more than 2 firsts and a handful of 2nds-3rds. If we start veering into 3 firsts, I'm out

Nick Foles
Trent Dilfer
Brad Johnson
Joe Flacco
Matt Stafford (he is not elite though the best of this bunch)
That's just off the top of my head. You do not need an elite QB to win a championship.

So four teams in the last twenty-two seasons

Simply because of the legal issues he won’t get as much as he would have. I think 2 firsts and a 3rd gets it done.

No work, but I’d give up what it takes for a 26yo franchise QB - especially draft picks that can be hit or miss anyhow.

Show your work.
2022 1st
2022 3rd
2023 1st
2023 3rd
G- Caesar Ruiz
CB- Marshon Lattimore
So, maybe
2022 - 1 and 3
2023 -1 and 3
2024 - 2 and 5
Davenport
Baun (or Taysom)

Houston should take Steve Young straight up
1-2 firsts on top of that is a steal
1-2 firsts on top of that is a steal

I said off the top of my head for the sake of a post. I wasn't putting any type of research into it.

Gonna take a load of draft picks and a couple of players at least. All I ask is we tack on Peat to whatever else is offered
Posted on 3/13/22 at 4:07 pm to DomincDecoco
I wouldn't.
With the cap issues we need our draft picks. We also have a guy in the building who was 5-2 with no Michael Thomas and no Wil Lutz, and who already knows the offense.

No doubt. But what is the easier path.

The picks + Michael Thomas
Posted on 3/13/22 at 4:28 pm to DomincDecoco
Nothing. Don't want that POS anywhere near the team.

Might fetch 2 1sts by himself lol. So when you include him you are essentially saying that it would take 5 1sts and 2 3rds

What does this mean lol. “What’s it takes”
So if you’re the GM you just keep auto saying yes to whatever they ask for?
Incredible negotiation technique

Reality is Watson has a no trade clause he can dictate which team he wants to go to. The Texans can accept a deal for 8 1st it dosent mean shite unless Watson will agree to the trade.
Let's use the Saint only offer two 1st and a second and the Panthers offer three 1st and three 2nd if Watson dosent want to go sign with the Panthers then the Texans either roll with Watson or accept the best trade partner that Watson will agree to play for.
It would benefit Watson to go play for a team that isn't handcuffed by his salary and lack of draft capital if he wants to win

Wherever he goes he is looking at suspension from the roger and the nfl.
Perhaps he should look at the long haul and where he wants to be in 3-6 years. Not just next year.
