This is about the time a QB or two emerges but I haven’t seen it yet. If one doesn’t show himself to be worthy of being taken over Jeremiah, that whale isn’t there

Caleb and Lawrence were being shite on left and right and each looked like potential busts before those guys fixed each.

Right, and the HCs still effectively chose those trans bc if the QB. Those guys have the age over Shough; the only thing you fear is, Shough doesn’t improve and is viewed differently bc of it.

Yeah I don't think anyone can argue that Shough isn't worth investing in to develop with a straight face. This is some of the worst blocking I've ever seen from the Saints

Nobody defenders are getting home every week in 1-2 seconds. No QB is going to light it up like that

But Shough has proved he has the tools, mindset and ability to be a great qb. He needs a better scheme or playcalling, and maybe some players, to help him out

With a new GM, you keep your franchise QB. Not going to sound nice but you purge the old and the lame.

Yeah I certainly think he’s likely our guy through the duration of his rookie contract for better or worse unless the wheels just completely come off.

It’s just a weird spot because for most franchise you have at least someone the fans feel reasonably confident in between the owner, GM, and coaching staff.

And how you lose, who you lost to, and where you lost at

I haven’t verified but Kaare Johnson said we have a worse win% post Brees than we did pre Brees. Really extends past three games

At least Brooks, Horn, and Deuce were fun. Outside of the end of last year we haven’t played a consistently watchable brand of football since 2020.

I’m fine with drafting another qb but I don’t think Shough is our issue. Sure , he played like dog arse against the best D in the league and not so great against the falcons but outside of that he’s been very solid. Shough could be an elite quarterback if we could establish a running game but we are lightyears away from being able to run the ball consistently. It’s very bad. We need beef on fhe lines and defense. We are 2-3 years away imo. Sadly Shough will damn near be 30 by the time it would take to fix this team. Gayle and Loomis are a cancer and need to go. We need people here who are serious about winning and doing whatever it takes.

7-8 wins and a good offense would’ve been fine if you go into 2027 thinking you need to fix the defense and patch things up on offense. This product is pure dogshit.

Teams need fans like you. I just can't pretend anymore. It just doesn't mean that much to me like it used to.

Shough's value on the trade market may not be high enough to even consider this.

But, suggesting we should trade him for a late first is ridiculous.

Shough is one of the few, and maybe the only untouchable on this team.
He has a chance to be a top notch starting quarterback and those guys don’t grow on trees as we well know.
