If we fire Moore, then I'd consider trading Shough

The season craters and we have a top 3 pick. We have the ability to grab a QB like Mensah, Carr, or Manning and in doing so can attract a strong coaching candidate who wants to get his QB for his system.

I'd trade Shough. I bet we could easily get a late first for him, and frankly he'd deserve a fresh start somewhere.

We add valuable draft picks to a team that has plenty of holes.

But our GM is Loomis so we aren't doing shite.

You don't give away a promising QB for a literal unknown who could be a bust and a late 1st Bryan bresee type pick. That's stupid

In that scenario trade down and accumulate talent around him

It’s a tough one. I like Shough but I also think he could also cap out around 12-14 in the league when it’s all said and done.

I honestly don’t know enough about how the college prospects measure up to say if one would be a huge upgrade.

I do think that if there is one considered and elite prospect you have to take him from a strictly value stand point.

It would be a lot easier to make that call if we had a GM/Coach we felt great about moving forward and I wonder if having the rights to _____prospect would get you a higher tier coaching prospect than Moore.

I don't think these QB's are considered can't miss type prospects. I listened to mcshay talk about them the other day and people aren't as high on them as they were last year it seems

Arch Manning really does not look good right now. Probably needs another year of college.

Shough is fine.

No QB is going to succeed with the worst oline in the league, zero running game, and a defense that cant stop a nose bleed.

Yeah that would be the rub.

Generational guy+ potential higher tier coaching prospect+ late first for Shough that maybe gets you an interior O line or R tackle(move Fuaga inside) plus Olave extended and hopefully healthy Tyson and you’re creating real momentum.

B tier Qb prospect+ another hopeful hire(but maybe last in line), I’m just keeping what I know in Shough even if I could get someone 4-5 years younger.

It’s a long season and Shough could obviously move the needle massively one way or the other as could KM who is still ultra young for an NFL head coach.

Shough is our only hope of getting a good HC. No good HC wants to go to a team without a QB. We have one. You don't let him walk.

Shough, Young and Olave are like the 3 things we have to build around. And you want to get rid of the hardest position to find??

The next Ben Johnson or Liam Coen aren’t choosing the Saints if you have a rookie QB. They may be enticed by Shough as long as doesn’t completely shite down his leg ROS

And Moore won’t be fired mid season but it isn’t off the table in the offseason

We have not had a QB in half a decade and finally get a guy that you can win because of, no in spite of, and you clowns want to sell him off because we may only get another 10 years out of him? GTFO. The Dolphins are still trying to find Marino's replacement. If you have a QB, you fricking keep that QB.

I would add Banks to that list. The protection really feel off a cliff when he went down.

Think it just depends on the rookie QB. But it seems like there isn’t that guy who would attract a whale in this draft. Caleb and Lawrence were being shite on left and right and each looked like potential busts before those guys fixed each.
