what's your rating system consist of?
Common sense and my eyeballs. Name one qb that has been elite in the nfl that wasn’t very good in college.
They like comparing him to Hurts but he won a heisman with one team and brought another to the college playoffs. Has Richardson done anything close to that?

I think taking a guy like AR is a complete waste of Pete Carmichael and Dennis Allen are developing him.
I just don’t see it working out at all in the CSP lite offense. If we had a Reid or Daboll type guy then roll the dice for sure
Ronald Curry is the QB coach and pass game coordinator. DJ Williams was also promoted to a full time role on the offensive staff. Two former college QBs to boot. I get that Allen and Carmichael are the low hanging fruit, I’m not sure they’re tasked with developing QBs
All that said, Taysom Hill was a sub 60% passer in college and he was 25 years old. He’s 7-2 as an NFL starter. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that a shitty college QB with loud physical tools can be groomed to win in the NFL.

Josh Allen had a career 56.2 completion percentage in college.
his final year his TD/INT ration was 16/6.
amazing numbers i know.

Josh Allen and Herbert's resumes left a lot to be desired.

There would be reasons he’s available at 29 as there is a lot work to be done to get him ready
I'd take Hooker 10 times out of 10 over him. More accurate. Has some mobility.

You carried on for months defending Winston of these things. The difference here is one isn’t an 8 year vet.
Lol the difference is one was a Heismann winning qb. The other is Richardson.

Allen completed 56% of his passes his first two years in the league, 30 TDs to 21 INTs as well. With the likes of Brian Daboll and Ken Dorsey mentoring him.

Anthony Richardson came out of college after a year of things not going his way to try and get paid
All the guys that will get drafted highly declared early to try to get paid. Odd that it's an issue with him.

He's not a good Quarterback. At all.
I wouldn't touch him at all.
Hendon Hooker is the QB we should be trying to draft.

Usually those guys actually play well though.

But he INTERVIEWED so well!

What those two did in college couldn’t be more different.. I’m not some Lamar Jackson fan, I just don’t think Richardson will amount to anything at QB in the nfl.
Richardson 2022:
Comp - 53%
Yards - 2549
TDs - 17
INTs - 9
Rush - 654
TDs - 9
Lamar 2016 (Heisman):
Comp - 56%
Yards - 3543
TDs - 30
INTs - 9
Rush - 1571
TDs - 21
Lamar 2017:
Comp - 59%
Yards - 3660
TDs - 27
INTs - 10 (with 4 coming in his last game)
Rush - 1601
TDs - 18
Not really the same at all.
Edited to add INTs. Similar numbers but Lamar has way more attempts.

Boy this is easy. Do you know who Josh Allen is?

I already touched on Allen’s accuracy issues and scouts blamed his horrible receivers & supporting cast. Is that Richardsons issues? An SEC power had the same receiver talent as Wyoming? Is that what you are saying?
As far as Herbert, he threw for 3500 yards, over 30 touchdowns with a qb rating of 156 his last year. And that left a lot to be desired lol?
Do some of you even think about what you post?

Why in the hell woukd he do that? I saw a mock this morning with the man going number one overall. Some stupid team will still pick him in the top 15, yiu don’t even think of going back to college if you going that high.
I mean I get it.
I don't blame him.
This is just me giving an unpopular opinion.

I could see the Saints doing something like that taking Richardson if they whiffed on their other options.
I think this draft has some sneaky edge rushers/ DE's.
There are a lot of ways to go.
I think you'd have to break him in a certain way if you played him right away.
and then there is the 500-pound elephant in the room that won't go away. We haven't stayed healthy especially on offense for a few seasons in a row now.
So let's say we picked him at #29. How much do you want to use him? Throw him into the fire? Alternate some with Taysom? we'll need to pick a running back also.

If you're comfortable taking him in the 2nd you might as well take him and the potential 5th yr option at 29
You're right, especially for a guy who will need a lot of development before he's a finished product

Everyone saying no to Anthony at 29 would have said no to Lamar Jackson at 32.
You absolutely take him if he’s there.
