He'll never make it in the NFL as anything but a backup possibly. No.

Lol he’s not dropping to 29. He’s going to be a top 10 pick.

Yes, definitely, the kid has ridiculous combine numbers and that's all some people think he may be is numbers. But, if he learns how to play the game, he's really raw right now. If he learns to play the game, learns to pass the ball, then you have a superstar QB. So, yeah, it's worth the pick!

That’s bait, put the point remains - he isn’t making it to 29

this board does doesn’t even want him at 29

You’ll see a lot of familiar names who didn’t want Lamar at 29 either

This year will be a litmus test for all future QB drafts. The best QBs on tape have the worst measurable. The QBs with the best measurables have the worst careers/tape. And it’s in completely inverse order.

Best career tape:
1) Bryce Young
2) CJ Stroud
3) Will Levis
4) Anthony Richardson

Best measurables:
1) Anthony Richardson
2) Will Levis
3) CJ Stroud
4) Bryce Young

Right now Josh Allen is the reason everyone is willing to look at drafting Levis and Richardson. In five years everyone will look at this draft to argue about college performance vs. measurables.

Look where guys like Johnny Football and Leaf and...on and on went.

If gm's can screw up I think we are ok!

You can design an offense that Anthony Richardson will look terrific in. Look at Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, and Justin Fields (2nd half of year). The dynamic running ability opens everything else up. The bigger question is if you have a coaching staff that is able to do it. I highly doubt he makes it out of top 10.

Exactly.

I would love to see a more dynamic 2020 Patriots version of an offense with Cam Newton. Lots of QB power, read option. Cam's arm had fallen off by that point so the explosive passing ability just wasn't there and they had the worst receiving core in the league that year also.

Richardson could be pretty amazing if he goes to a team that has an alpha WR and a willingness to build around him. Houston would be nice, drafting Richardson and turning around at 12 and drafting Quentin Johnson. Seattle with DK Metcalf. Raiders with Davante Adams...sheesh.

Richardson has difference-making physical abilities.

ETA: Texans pick 12th, not 13th

It’s becoming obvious that you’ve never watched A Rich play a snap of ball

Just sit back and enjoy some dumb arese team burning a top 10 on him that isn’t us. I pray to God it’s Carolina tbh.

I’ve watched him play a good bit of football as I pretty much only watch SEC play. When I did, I always made sure to keep in mind the context that he was a very raw first year starter surrounded by weak talent for a rebuilding Florida program.

Drafting prospects is a traits thing which Richardson has in abundance, hence why they’re called “prospects”, dummy.

Why?

What have you seen from his QB play that makes you so high on him?

Wouldn’t be thrilled with him as an everydown qb

Yea bc playing well in college always translates to the league

Jameis Winston, 1.1
Baker Mayfield, 1.1
Marcus Mariota, 1.2

Three Heisman QBs who tore up college and got picked in the top 2, all can be had for peanuts. Long list of Heisman busts

A “sure thing” QB comes along once every few years. To pretend to know how a QB turns out is foolish.

Richardson isn't falling to 29 so it's a moot point.

Yeah,no chance after his combine.

I think he is going to have some tough times figuring out nfl defenses. Can get by with some zone read to start.

Will have to sit and learn for at least a year.

Hendon Hooker is the QB we should be trying to draft.

I never understand this.

Let's say joe burrow was 25 coming out of lsu. Does he go 1st overall?

Now hendon hooker isn't joe Burrow. But Let's say you only have a qb for 8 years instead of 12. I'm just using hooker as an example.

If the player is good, he's good. Yeah, you might adjust where you draft someone like hooker but if he is a baller who cares how old he is.
