You’ve yet to actually address my points and continue to act like Taysom just isn’t good as the explanation which is shite.

i've been reading daily reports by most writers who have pretty much detailed every pass thrown in camp thus far. Its been a lot of back and forth, not a lot of separation thus far.
So you think any of those writers know more than Payton? Do you think every statistic you read means that one pass is the same as the next or than one read it the same as the next? Come on? You are sounding like an 8 year old whose favorite player got benched and making up excuses for it "not being fair!"

so why hasn't payton addressed this with him in the 3 weeks of camp? why isn't payton being proactive in telling Taysom and giving permission for him to run when he feels needed? Why no designed run plays for taysom? 4th and 2 yesterday was a gimme run for Taysom to the edge all day long.
How many coaches are going to design runs in the preseason for a player that could be their starting QB on Day 1. Why would he need to? He clearly knows Taysom is a much better runner than Winston. What would a designed run prove?

Chad will tell you that CSP has told him to do this

I know. He’s in love with Taysom.

Last season’s numbers speak for themselves. Brees (despite having 269 more attempts) was sacked 13 times. Hill had 14.

22% of Brees’s QB pressures resulted in sacks. Last year, 28% of Bridgewater’s pressures resulted in sacks. For Hill it is 38%. Because guys like Brees and even Bridgewater get rid of the ball if they get pressured too much. Hill just stands there and takes the sack.

If anyone thought Jameis wasn’t going to start they were not paying attention. Taysom will not be a QB here or any other team in this league. He was only a QB in Payton’s mind and it only stalled the progress of Jameis being he is in his 4th or 5th offense in 6 years.
Jameis should have gotten #1 reps this who time, he is a top notch NFL starter and one only has to look at his 5 year totals against all the best QB to see it. He was banished after the 30/30 year so the goat can be ushered in and win the SB again.

I cannot wait till we kick Tampa’s teeth in with Jamies leading the way. We got lucky as hell with this kid and now that Payton can put away his side project and work with Jameis only this offense will only get better.
It will be like prime Drew when he was throwing for 5k every year. I’m pumped and knew after I stop listening to the narrative about Jamies and compared the stats that we had ourselves a 10 year starter.

Saints fans are morons sometimes

Jameis 5 year Numbers
22-15 58.3%
28-18 60.8%
19-11 63.8
19-14 64.6
33-30 60.7

Total
121-88 61.4

Drew Brees Numbers
17-16 60.8%
11-15 57.6%
27-7 65.5%
24-15 64.6%

Total
79-53

People like to bash on Jameis Winston but his numbers aren't bad all. The 30 interception season was with Bruce Arians and he likes to air it out. With the exception of Big Ben most of his QBs have high INTs.

Jameis will be okay.

Taysom hasnt taken a single snap at qb w either Armstead or Ramczyk at OT. Yet expected to compete fairly for a job. No designed runs called or even appears to be allowed to run on scrambles.

Payton wanted to see him play qb. He knows he can run the ball. Jameis won the job. Give it up

and so like why hasn't payton given him a long pass play...or like a run where he scores huh? why? why does Tay Tay just take it and not like do something more successful like yards and scores and stuff? He's Taysom and score when he wants, i mean...what gives?

Chadboi is just in his own space here and separated himself from the pack. I almost feel inclined to give respect to his absolute undying ridiculousness.

Taysom is a competitor, but he just ain't a fulltime starting QB in this NFL. Maybe in the 70's, he would be.

Consider this objectively- he's NOT the mobile threat Mike Vick was, or Cam Newton was.
Both of those guys were out of the league, about the same age the pure pocket guys like Brees, Brady, Rodgers etc hit their peak. Maturity and understanding, still have ENOUGH arm, total control of the flow of the game.
That occurs about the same age that the elite ATHLETES begin to lose a step, or start having recurrent injuries due to so much contact.

Taysom hasn't had the injuries yet, because he lost a few years on his mission in college; and because he's only played extensively (read- the whole game) for less than half a season. We still don't know WHEN he loses that step, as he ages. Might be in a year or so. Early 30's, your body just doesn't do what it did in your mid-late 20's.

Taysom, as he plays, could likely start a season or 2.

Jameis could give you a decade. His arm won't fall off, and he's only going to learn the game more. He needed to be humbled and forced to grow up; being cut and riding the bench for a year can do that. He looks like his head is in the right place, looks like he is discovering that Payton knows how to win football.

Like I keep saying Jameis numbers in his first 5 years are really good. Taysom will not play QB in this league ever. It’s a Payton thing only. Taysom is a great football player but not a QB.
It’s over and Shaun needs to get off his arse and make it official if he wants to win.

I can only imagine what it must have been like when we signed Brees coming off that injury.

Has Hill ever led the NFL in passing yards? Thrown for over 5,000 yards? Thrown for 30 TDs?
What about the 30 INTs from Winston you say? Well he also threw way more PASSES than anyone else.
And he is not going to throw a lot of INTs in this offense. He's just not. SEAN PAYTON.

You didn’t make any points. But I’ve got one for you to address. You keep implying that Taysom isn’t allowed to scramble but he took 14 sacks last year. DREW HAD 13. How do you explain that?
