Jenkins, but only if Smith reworks his contract.

If he doesn't, Smith.

Get rid of Smith. Bring in 7 more safeties whether they're strong or free. Put Hicks at NT
and Lofton at MLB along with the other 9 safeties in the game.

They'll all roam around and frick shite up.

Easy, Smith.

Jenkins is cheaper younger and until this year was actually playing well.

If they both worked for almost min. pay I'd keep Smith.

Smith because he should have been cut years ago. When the guy plays his absolute best he is barely average. Not to mention he should back up when he gets his check.

here's the contract/cap implications-

Smith- Will cost $5.5mil of cap to cut, will then save $9mil of cap. Net 3.5mil cap savings. Could happen. Since he still is gonna cost $5.5mil no matter what he could take the vet minimum close to $900K to stay

Jenkins- Will cost just over $1.5mil to cut, will then save $2.264mil. Net $750K cap savings. So little savings it really would make no sense to cut him. See if he can get it on in a contract year.

Would have said cut Smith and keep Jenkins....considering MJ's latest comments to Larry Holder, I'd say ask Smith to restructure and trade Jenkins (for anything).

Smith's production or lack thereof does not warrant the salary he would receive next year. Bye.

Ugh. Isn't this the same thing we said about Ellis last year?
