Looking around, a lot of people seem to like this for the Saints. Saying he is a reliable, quality back and that is a really decent price.

Murray has always seemed like a standup dude and he’s a good runner, but Ingram was an effective back, a great compliment/mentor to Kamara, and he was the heartbeat of the locker room.

Am sad.

If you value PFF ratings, not much difference between them

has 26 td's to ingram's 24 td's past 3 years. goal line and tough yardage production.

He's not poo poo. The Vikings are sad to see him go and he filled in admirably for Cook when he went down with an injury.

MI probably was demanding too much money. It sucks because I really like Mark and he was great in the locker room.

But, for the money, this is a good signing for a quality player.

Tough choices have to be made sometimes and I feel the Saints made a tough but smart choice here

I think we have to see what MI gets first.

My first reaction was I didn't like it, but seeing so many people that aren't Saints fans saying they like it, and how many Vikings fans complimenting him and saying the deal is good for us...we will see. I think its probably a decent deal.

Murray does the same thing as Ingram without the cost

Run between the tackles, catch the ball a bit, good in pass pro, stand up guy in locker room, proven to be a nice compliment to Dalvin Cook

Y'all need to chill the frick out. Murray is the same age as Ingram and we are paying him less than 22 made last year. The locker room presence is the biggest loss. Now we have money to chase bigger needs. Relax

This

The difference on the field is negligible, but hate to lose him in the locker room.

every non saints fan person on twitter is calling this a steal. i don’t hate this. i hate it for locker room purposes but i don’t see there being a huge drop off production wise. Ingram just wants too much for a guy approaching the home-stretch of his career

I would have rathered Ingram but Murray certainly provides an interesting compliment to Kamara and may be a good pickup. Big and fast.

Decent at pass protection and runs a little upright for my taste. My fear since he has a more limited skillset than Ingram is that Payton gets back to a few years ago where he was projecting the play by which running back was in.

exactly

this is Kamara's backfield now.

Murray is a good 1 cut runner who can break tackles and is good in the redzone. And his hands arent bad either

Deuce called this months ago...said RBs never make it to their third contract with the same team.

Not a fan. Murray does nothing for me, Mark is vastly underrated and will be a loss in the locker room.

I just hope this doesn’t hurt Kamara’s moral
