Once the decision was made to let Mickey rebuild, she has to support him for a reasonable amount of time.

Anyone who is surprised by her comments doesn’t understand organizational leadership.

You don’t throw your employees under the bus until you fire them.

The mistake she made was letting him oversee the rebuild.

I can though. She displayed incredible weakness in that moment, and it signaled to me she would be a failure running this team. I stated it back then, and now I am the ST Nostradamus

Not really.

We are still seeing previous high draft picks get discarded from the roster since the season began. The sins of the past don't become irrelevant just because you decide to rebuild.

I don't think a valid argument to fire Mickey is based in this year's record in a vacuum. And, I don't see too many people making that argument.

Well it sounds like someone got to her and has clearly been reading online forums.

Either that or they have somebody listening to the various Saints podcasts out there.

What I mean is you just don't decide to come out and say something like this now.

Reall The only thing that I've liked that she's done recently was fire Dennis Allen. And you would have to think that someone got to her ear and told her to do that also .

This is just hopes by the organization that fans truly believe what she's saying, but anybody who really watches this team really and follows it knows that that's just not true what she said.

It's all for show.

Most all of our issues with Gayle and Loomis will go away if CKM gets this team back on top of the NFC south and winning 10+ games a year again.

She doesnt care about either team winning lol.

Most NFL owners probably don't even if they play up for the camera. NFL teams are a business first and foremost. If the team is making money, why would they care?

Oh there's no doubt about that man.

Winning can suddenly make us forget about a lot.

Based on some interviews around that time, I am pretty sure it was Cam Jordan. After he was fired, she mentioned wanting to talk to the players to find out what was really going on because she was getting lip service from ML (paraphrase obviously).
Cam had an interview after the season making a reference to the time the D-line coach was fired and inferred (or is it implied? I always get those mixed up) he spoke with Gayle. The Dline coach was fired shortly before DA.

Based on some of the things that came out during that story, about going around ML, I assumed his seat got really hot. IMO, he was bailed out with Carr retiring. If Carr stuck around and we ended up with a season similar to this; I suspect ML would not be far behind. But, once he retired ML was able to sell the rebuild to Dennis & Gayle.

Also, if Loomis' seat is hot, you would have to think Dennis has to be getting uncomfortable. May not get fired because of what he means to all of her businesses, but his responsibilities over the Saints could change if the rebuild does not go according to plan. At least this is what I am hoping

You’d have to imagine certain line items on the P&L have dropped during this shite run. You can feel the panic in the emails from Pels and Saints ticket people. I’m sure merchandise and concessions are down.

It’s nearly impossible to lose money in owning an NBA or NFL franchise. But I’m certain there’s opportunity in certain areas that correlate with winning

"You don't think Mickey Loomis is losing sleep at night over all of this? He is," Benson said. "It's hard. It's not an easy job. It's not like he's sitting on his butt, not worrying about things."

No doubt, but it's clearly not enough yet to force change. You can still go to the Dome for any given home game and see plenty of folks indulging in $12 beers and $15 bowls of terrible jambalaya.

It’s easy to not push things when you have a billion dollars worth of franchises

Personally, when we were winning, I would drink double Jack and waters until they cut us off in the 4Q. The last few years I may have one. Granted I’m older and it hurts more, but I’d bet winning has an impact on concessions, namely alcohol sales

100%

The Dome may as well have been a club back in Drew’s prime. Insane atmosphere, loud as shite every defensive play, most in attendance hammered. Still there every game but sad how much it sucks now.
