So weird a good thread like this gets downvoted, I don't care if it's LE. Then people debate facts like combine weights. It's an extremely good and well researched point, and I tend to agree I see both of these guys maxing out as good #2 WRs.

More and more people just downvote shite than actually engage in discussion on here. I thought it was an extremely informative post as well.

I really like him.

If he had OSU QBs and offense he'd have eaten

I think Olave has a higher floor and ceiling though. Wilson has elite WR1 potential

Treylon Burks is really growing on me. Imagine the packages you could run with him and Taysom as Swiss Army knives.

I just don’t know if the Saints will be creative enough to get the most out of a guy like that

I mean he hardly runs routes past the LOS. He reminds me of Jalen Hurd who was the 67th in the 3rd round. And Hurd actually had experience as a RB

His YAC per reception was 4.2 yards last year Few NFL guys last year, for reference Tyreek was at 4 yards YAC per rec Jefferson was 4.4 per Waddle 4.2 per Renfrow 4.3 per

Cant compare NFL YAC to Big 10 YAC numbers, Olave’s numbers should become worse against NFL talent.

I don't like Burks. Way too high of bust potential.

Dotson, Pickens, or one of the small school project WRs in the 2nd would be a better gamble than a 1st on Burks.

Way late, but most players drop weight for the combine. Ya know since they are WR's and everyone cares more about 40 times than anything else? Dudes will show up to camp 10-15 lbs heavier.

What high bust potential do you see in Burks?

All of those weights are from the combine. Not just Olave & Wilson

Not really meant to compare the players. Generally there is correlation between good YAC is catching the ball near the LOS. And you cannot take the raw YAC numbers at face value. If you catch 100 balls you’re going to be near the top of YAC. The point is YAC doesn’t really matter when you’re catching the ball down the field

How many WRs with weight problems don't bust? It's an EXTREMELY high bust rate. I don't mean "not live up to WR1 potential". I mean totally bust out.

Also, I dislike contested catch guys b/c they bust out at a high rate.

He's also coming from a pretty shite offense for developing a read on the game and within that simple system, they fed the ball to him in non-traditional ways.

Pierce ran a 4.33 40 at the combine? Pretty impressive for nearly 6'3. Simms has him ranked as his #3 WR.

Christian Watson ran a 4.36 at 6'4. Simms has him ranked as his #2 WR. I am actually surprised by the lack of talk about Watson. I read he was excellent during the Senior Bowl. He seems incredibly explosive with tremendous size. It is rare to see a guy with this size run this fast. I am actually coming around to Watson unless someone can talk me out of him. Are his hands a little iffy? He didn't get a ton of targets, but according to comments I have read, he played in a heavy run offense?

Jameson Williams considered to be the #1 WR by most is also intriguing, but will miss a few games?

There are so many interesting WRs. I hope we draft at least 2. I doubt if you draft 2 they both bust out.

Wilson seems more on line with the route running separators that seem to be more successful as of late then the alpha WR size guys

Watch Burks’ tape. He runs like two routes. They swing him the ball or he catches short slants.

He’s a nice runner with the ball but he is going to have to run more routes in the nfl & I don’t think you want to find out if he can or not in the 1st round. He’s not that dynamic to gamble on.

Honestly might be more of an Hback/joker type player
