Remember Jameson couldn’t pass Wilson and Olave on the depth chart at tOSU
Both tOSU guys are high 4.3 guys with elite 10 yards. You’re talking about better athletes than say Elijah Moore, but with more height and bulk. What is that worth, idk
Olave tape backs up his hype and testing. Can run all the routes and plays bigger than his weight. I think he is WR1 for me and would compliment Thomas well
The size guys like London and Burks may have higher ceilings but I reckon they also have a higher chance to bust

Theoretically, I'd rather George Pickens in the 2nd than any of those guys except maybe Burks in the 1st.

There isn’t a WR worth taking in The 1st because of how much similar the guys available in the second will be

Right, and I like Elijah moore a lot but where was he drafted
All these guys are very high end WR2’s at best, so why draft one at 1.16 or 1.19 when that same value does not taper off through the first 100 picks

I don’t buy much into that tbh. Williams’ play-speed is incredible & he showed that in the SEC.
On that same note, Olave was the 3rd best WR on his team this year. If we want to play that game. I don’t think it means much

I disagree. We have a WR1 so if we end up with a solid 2nd option, that's fine. PFF's roundup on this year's class was really good in saying that this class doesn't have a surefire #1 guy but it has lots of 1.5s/2s.
I think Olave is like a quarter-step slowever version of Brandin Cooks, which is fine for me to pair with Thomas.
I am assuming we won't even have the chance to draft Wilson.
But I am not sold we spend one of the 1sts on WR and I have told you that many times before. I think if a toolsy edge falls, we take him and whichever OT drops.

I’m with you on the OT and the big DT from Georgia. Man man that would set use right with the trenches. Then move up round 2 go best receivers then best free safety. In the 3rd get you a RB, the 4th interior OL. I’m done.

It’s a fair enough point. By comparison, here are some other combine heights and weights.
Terry McLaurin was listed as 6’0”, 208 at the combine.
Last year, Ja'Marr Chase was 6'0”, 201, Devonta Smith was 6'0”, 170, Jaylen Waddle was 5'9” 170, Kadarius Toney was 5'11”, 193 and Elijah Moore 5'9”, 180.
Jerry Jeudy was 6’1”, 193, CeeDee Lamb was 6’1”, 198 and Ruggs was 5’11”, 188.
Christian Kirk was 5’10”, 201. Calvin Ridley was 6’0”, 189. Odell Beckham was 5'11”, 198. T.Y. Hilton was 5’9”, 183. Tavon Austin Was 5’9”, 174.
I didn’t watch a ton of Wilson and Olave, but what I did see was impressive. Wilson is a great athlete who is just a natural WR like Ja’Mar Chase. Olave seems like a technician that fights for the ball and has great hands, like a Jarvis Landry or Justin Jefferson.

Jefferson is physical, a willing blocker and strong enough to break tackles. Olave is none of those.

I think Jeff has more dawg in him and makes him better after the catch. The only guy I can think of who is so bad after the catch is Cooks.
And Cooks is a borderline WR1 but a surefire excellent WR2

I agree with you somewhat but who the hell knows. This whole thing is a crapshoot. That tackle so many on here have wood for (Trevor penning) may be a gigantic pussy and get beat out by James hurst. I think we HAVE to give ourselves the best chance possibly of landing a legit offensive weapon. TBH I thought devonta smith was a little pipsqueak and wasn’t gonna do Dick in the pros but here we are.

Unpredictable nature would be why, 30 picks between and a lot can happen.
Now don't get me wrong, absolutely wouldn't pass a LT/DT at 16 and 19 if they fell to us. And wouldn't be surprised if we go 2+3 to move up to get that wr they covet either.

Olave had enough dog to be a 4 year gunner on STs. Could be better after the catch but ultimately the goal is to find the end zone, and 20% of his receptions went for TDs
His YAC per reception was 4.2 yards last year
Few NFL guys last year, for reference
Tyreek was at 4 yards YAC per rec
Jefferson was 4.4 per
Waddle 4.2 per
Renfrow 4.3 per
We gotta accept not every guy is going to be Deebo, Kupp, Chase in the YAC department

Olave is more of your deep threat and Wilson is more of a slot, returner type.
I’d be thrilled to have either on the roster with the 16th pick and a great OT with #19.
Grab a DE or S in the 2nd. Then draft for depth.

Not that they aren’t good. But you just said it yourself, it’s a group of 1.5/2’s. So why are these guys buzzing so much other than coming from Ohio state
Put on Jahan Dotson or Skye moore (2 other smaller-isn’t guys)for instance, & tell me there is much of a difference
