Don't blame Carr for wanting his money. He didn't fire Allen or let Kubiak walk.

Blame Loomis. He gave him the BIG CONTRACT, don't ask him to take a cut in pay now. This is why Loomis really didn't want to fire Allen. He knew Carr was tied to Allen and he wanted KUBIAK as the OC. Loomis let Kubiak out of his contract as well.

The point is Brees, Ramsczyk, and Cameron Jordan have been life-long Saints. They'll cut the Saints some slack on salaries at the end of their careers. Carr is NOT that guy, and it shouldn't be expected of him or like him to do them a favor. Loomis screwed up.

First two games with healthy players his offense couldn't be stopped. Not his fault Loomis didn't have quality depth on the roster.

Except for the simple fact that Brees & Ram didn't. All they did was add on dummy years to spread the hit. Brees added on a dummy year to spread his dead money after retirement over 2 years. Ram accepted vet minimum to sit on IR instead of retiring before last season, and appears will be waiting until post 6/01 to file his paperwork so he could "earn" an extra $1.2M and spread his dead money over 3 years (2024 - 2026).
Cam legit took a reduced salary as his snap count continues to be reduced. I have a feeling he will do it again in 2026 as a favor to the front office so his retirement dead money will be spread over 2027 - 2028; unless the major cap jump is supposed to happen next year

This shite is stupid. So he is only a good OC when everyone is healthy and playing two bad teams. He had no idea how to adjust to any of the injuries.
