You realize this is only in your big fat empty head right? This is considered one of the weaker QB drafts.

It was his choice. He had options. You can get pennies on the dollar for Baker right now. He was compared to Brees coming out. Had an up and down year last year but played with a hurt shoulder. And the Browns may eat some of his salary.

So which is it.. because by all accounts most people have this as a terrible QB class.

Are yall really mad we didnt draft a QB in a bad QB class?

"This is the worst QB class in years"

"OMG WHY DIDNT THEY TAKE A QB"

Pennies for baker and you have like 1 team even semi interested and that is Carolina. Even as bad as their situation at QB is they said they would rather draft a QB in a bad class over taking Baker.

The people who want to want a QB every year are like the wall street bets crowd trying to find the next meme stock. The odds that you’ll find a QB in the draft ANY year better than your current QB isn’t high to begin with.

And ignoring all of that - this is one of the worst QB classes I can ever remember... If you think any of these dudes are better than Winston you are MFing dreaming

And who was beating down Winston’s door to sign him in free agency? And that wouldnt cost a team a draft pick. Show your work. Then I’ll go to bed.

Like I said, guess some of you have short memories but only one team had mild interest in Winston when he first hit free agency last year. And no team really went hard after him this year. So what does that mean???

Is there a headcoach whos success isn't decided by his starting QB?

He had a deal in place w Indy if Saints signed Watson. He also made it known he wanted to come back to NOLA and was planning to until Watson became a possibility.

To OP, hitching to Winston is the smart play for a coach’s first year when you have a top tier defense. Get 1-2 years to struggle then blame QB, draft your guy after 1-2 years and go from there. Go get your guy now, you better do something in 1-2 years. If you can show improvement w Winston because he truly turned the corner; you have a cheap vet to build around for 2 years

Dennis Allen's fate is sealed. Winston is a blowhard and not a championship QB.

It's Raiders part deux for Allen but he'll be slightly better because of the team Payton left behind. Not enough for him to stay around for more than 3 years though.

Betting on Winston is like going all-in with a 7-2 hand at a poker tournament. AKA it's flat out stupid.

Yeah and he's cheap for a starter for 2 years and he's proven he is capable (we'd have been in the playoffs if he never got hurt).

Baker will cost assets and cost more and he'll demand top-tier QB money in his extension or he'll pout all year.

I'm not anti-Baker, but simply trying to illustrate to you how much more expensive he'd be as a gamble that may not even be as good as JW

It's funny because honestly, none were even close to what he was in college either.

Now they're going crazy we didn't reach for them.

Did you not watch last year?

We were a really good team with JW at QB...without any WRs and an injured OL.

What "championship QB" options were out there?

We apparently tried hard to get Watson. Not our fault the Browns went nuts. Watson hasn't won a title, either.

Baker has won, what? One playoff game (with a stacked roster).

Or… OR… none of the QBs from this class pan out, Winston turns out to suck, and having waited a year and not panicked drafted a bad QB this year and hobbled his team, he gets a really good one next year and looks like a genius

I’d take Winston over any QB in the draft
