It is also tied to another 52 players on the starting roster lest we forget.

This is 100% false.

No it’s not. They are riding with Winston because he is our best option until he’s not.

Dennis Allen's fate is sealed. Winston is a blowhard and not a championship QB.

It's Raiders part deux for Allen but he'll be slightly better because of the team Payton left behind. Not enough for him to stay around for more than 3 years though.

Not one single person has said Winston is GREAT. He is however, better than the other options out there right now.

Watson would have been an upgrade, but Cleve over-paid for him, so.....

Not really, Winston is better than any QB in draft but situation can change next year.

If Winston gets hurt severely again they won’t have no one other than a washed up quarterback and two others that barely saw any snaps under center

Winston was 5-2 with a 14/3 TD/INT ratio before he got hurt last year.

Also had one of worst WR corps in the league during that time.

Not to mention this team damn near made the playoffs in a year where they started their 3rd and 4th string QB for a good number of games.

Barring the freak injury bugs we had last year, this team should win the division.

Bad QB draft but we are drafting like we fee we’re in a super bowl window as is.

We do have a good defense and a good RB but it’s been a long time since those were enough.

Like I said, guess some of you have short memories but only one team had mild interest in Winston when he first hit free agency last year. And no team really went hard after him this year. So what does that mean???

Well then what is the point of trading for baker if those are comparable?

At best it is probably a lateral move. I personally dont think Baker is an upgrade at all but its certainly not to the point of trading for him after giving Jameis an extension.

You would have a point if all we had was Hill at QB. Id probably be down. But Baker doesnt move the needle at this point

This is where reading is fundamental and none of you can comprehend shite.

No one is calling Jameis a great QB. But at the moment he is our best option. This has been said numerous times but you see what you want to see.

Reality is the NFC looks like it’s going to be very weak this year. Healthy Winston last year looked like the Saints would have been in the running for the South. Had they win the South they would have been the 1 seed due to tie breakers. Add weapons around him when other team in the NFC appear to be getting worse; you’re right in the thick of things for a SB appearance. So, why wouldn’t you draft to go all in when the QB crop is terrible.

Taysom will still play over the other bums, but lets just hope and assume Winston will be healthy. He doesnt have a previous injury history and it was a freak injury he sustained last year.

There is no QB in this draft better than Jameis. I don't know why people are surprised the Saints passed on a QB. Seemed pretty obvious to me.

And if we take one of these QBs what we have is another Ian Book situation to where a guy who is clearly not ready thrown to the wolves.

Which is the case for 2/3rds if the teams out there. Would be nice to have a stud as a backup, but when you’re dealing with some of the dead money we’ve had the past few years you sacrifice depth at some positions

Next season is tied to Winston's success. He only has a two year contract. I think he will be good, but if not enter the QB free agency sweepstakes or draft next year.

Allen's going to have more than a few years at coach unless he really stinks.
