Dennis Allen’s fate is now tied 100% to Winston.

By not picking a QB in the top half of the draft Allen’s future solely depends on Winston’s success. I’d be really nervous if I was him.

What does that have to do with the QB options in this draft that you seem to think the Saints screwed up by not drafting them? Which QB should they have taken?
A couple of things to consider before declaring DA is deadman walking:
-Saints may get a 1st rounder before the next draft.
-Saints could still draft a QB next year and would not necessarily take QB in Rd. 1 even if they had that pick.
-Saints may sign a FA QB if Winston doesn't work out.
-Winston goes off this year with the weapons that he has and a defense built by DA.

especially after they signed Jameis on a 2 year deal
Dalton on a one year deal
and moved Taysom from the QB chart back into the flex/TE slot whatever.
would not have sent the best message to the rest of the roster heading into 2022.
not to mention we spent on 4th rounder on Ian Book last year. Not his doing but no doubt on in the back of his and all the rest of the staff's mind in this whole process.

I woulda been more nervous reaching for a shite QB. This is legendary type QB class….. Legendarily SAD. (Gordon Ramsey).
But seriously though, OP your point is dumb.
To any fans out there thinking Winston is going to have an Aaron Brooks year, just sit back and watch. If we are healthy, we are a 3-4 seed in playoffs. Mark my words. Our defense is still just too good even losing Marcus Williams.
