And who was beating down Winston’s door to sign him in free agency?

He's been in the Saints building for a few years. Nobody knows better than the Saints how he has been looking and they made the decision to resign him. Obviously they think he is the.best option other then the free agents they tried to go in on.

Saints are a stable organization with great culture and leadership. Baker Mayfield not a great fit for us. Also not a great draft class for qbs. Don’t forget we tried to go for Watson. Jameis may only be here 1 more year, everyone freaking out needs to relax. We could trade up to get a QB in the first round next year. Just be a fan and enjoy the ride.

Agreed.

Bakers best bet is to look in the mirror and see what he can improve on. Hell, he could actually learn from Jameis and look for a team with a vet QB and learn how to be a better pro.

I hate to say it but Tampa would probably be a great situation for him.

He got all butthurt with Clevelands pursuit of Watson. Its understandble but at the same time i wouldnt put out the statements he did about that.

If we get into a shootout in the playoff you trust Winston to lead that last drive?

By not picking a QB in the top half of the draft Allen’s future solely depends on Winston’s success. I’d be really nervous if I was him.

This is 100% not true.

You can get pennies on the dollar for Baker right now. He was compared to Brees coming out.

You’re complaining about how the Saints are handling their QB situation yet you want them to tie their horses to someone because some slapdick analyst made a comment comparing him to brees

Do you not realize how fricking stupid that sounds??

No it’s not. They are riding with Winston because he is our best option until he’s not.

It’s like Mickey Loomis doesn’t even exist to some of you clowns.

Mickey took the pressure off of Allen to have to win with a mediocre rookie QB that only has a solid starter ceiling in the NFL.

If anything, Dennis Allen breathed a sigh of relief at not being forced into that position.

What fate changing QB was there in the top half of this draft?

I wonder if some of your people actually watch football or just think you can be a GM because you’re awesome on Madden.

Coaching leashes are short. Winston working out was always his best chance of keeping his job this time. He will be fine either way, his family will never hurt for money.
