Or...we just use a RB from now on.

This.

The only reason the Saints had a "Taysom role" is because they had Taysom. Without Taysom, there is no need for a "Taysom role"...just like the 31 other teams who didn't have Taysom over the past several years.

If you believe Taysom's skills are easily matched, name me the QB, TE, WR, RB plus ST player on other NFL Teams? Taysom Hill is a generational player.

This is the best option 10/10. I'll never know why this isn't option 1 on first down.

Good luck finding a replacement for Taysom. He was a very unique player. Basically a unicorn. No one before him ever did what he did. Not saying someone after him wont do it but he was one of one so far.

In modern football, no. But Jim Thorpe absolutely was Hill (and then some) before Hill.

He hasn't been Taysom for a few years. We don't need to replace him. We need to forget that position even exists.

There isnt a player every generation like Taysom Hill. There probably hasnt ever been a player like him. He isnt generational. Hes one of one.

Antwan Randle El was taysom before taysom.

Unique unicorn players who were able to perform all over the field, but people forget why taysom needed to exist in our offense.

1. Brees lack of arm strength near the end of the career
2. Poor power run blocking which him direct snap made it more balanced
3. Lack of receiving options so a super smart athlete like him knows how to run routes and catch

Now we have a qb with arm strength. Tried to shore up the rb and OL. Now viable receiving options

Kordell "Slash" Stewart was Taysom before Taysom. Bobby Douglas ran for over 1000 yards for the Bears one year and that as when the season was fewer games. Deebo Samuel's role has some Taysom aspects to it. But you are correct. Taysom was a total unicorn.

This offense is not build for a "Taysom role" and I doubt Moore is interested making a "Taysom role" when you have no "Taysom".

Taysom hasn't been duplicated yet in the league, There's a growing list of "Next Taysom's", this guy will be just another name on it.

Didn't we just sign a 230 lb free agent RB who's entire thing was being a short yardage guy? Something like 40 TDs, but not a ton of yards?

Sounds like the perfect use for him, and the perfect guy for that role.

I'm actually ok with using Delp as a play anywhere type. Never know what he's doing wherever he's lined up.
