I think he holds onto the ball a little too long sometimes. But other than that he’s been playing good. Should we ride with Dalton next season and try to build around him a little more? Maybe trade Winston. I don’t know what we do with MT but it would be nice for him to be gone. We need a stud RB and to shore up the OL. Maybe look for another decent receiver without spending too much. I think Dalton can thrive with the right pieces in place.

Fail to see how a Qb playing "pretty good" yields 0 points.

When you consider the critical drops and fumbles, it’s not hard to imagine a qb playing pretty good and scoring 0 points. Missed fg as well. Dalton has looked solid. Why go after a qb that will break the bank? Look at Denver’s situation. They are fricked. Remember that Baltimore won a SB with Trent Dilfer. I believe Dalton is definitely better.

Yeah it's pretty wild that you can have a quarterback playing pretty damn efficient and still not yield any results. Turnovers, penalties, drops. Just undisciplined football all over the place.

Dalton is a backup QB, that's it.

Jameis isn't the answer either.

The Saints have no legit qb on the roster.

I mean a missed fricking field goal and a fumble at the 1.5 yard line alone is enough to tie the game.

Dalton, in my opinion, is the perfect QB to guide this team through a painful rebuild. Not too expensive, can be efficient enough to evaluate the pieces around him, and doesn’t have an expectation of being a long term franchise guy at this point in his career.

You must not have watched the game. Dalton looked like the only person on offense that wasn't checked out on the game.

Maybe trade Winston.

Guy isn't good enough to start on one of the worst teams in the league and will have a salary of around $13M. Who do you think is going to trade for him? Do we offer our 5th or 6th rounder for a team to take him?

He should be designated a post 6/01 cut to reduce his 2023 cap hit from $15.6M to $2.8M. Then he'll have an $8.4M carry over in 2024.

I agree with riding with Dalton and hoping a rookie drops to wherever the teams' first pick will be (early 2nd, SP trade?). Then you have a solid vet to start the season with before turning to the rookie; or a solid vet to help guide a rookie if you decide to go sink or swim mode.

Well there were those two fumbles.

Your #1 stud RB had a total of 13 yds rushing.

One terrible call by the refs.

Kicker shanked another easy one.

That very same QB was the leading rusher for the team.

An OC who's not turning out to be the OC we thought he was now that CSP is gone.

Lots of blame to go around but Dalton is way down on that list.

I think they should give him a long term contract and build around him.

Thanks Kamara...

Dropped balls in the endzone..

Yeah it's Dalton's fault they didn't score.

Cool. What is his actual career record in playoff games?
If he has a winning record I'm down.

Does it matter? This season is basically over and no one wants Dalton to be our starting QB next year so what’s the point?

Better take a year off from following the Saints then.

He has a makeshift OL and has no real running game.

I would have liked to see a run from 1st and goal at the 4, but if it didn't yield 2+ yards I would have passed the other three times.

He hit Johnson in the Facemask and Hill in the hands.

Do we have any QBs on the team with a winning playoff record? While we're at it, how many playoff wins does Russell Wilson have, and how is he playing this year?
