Yes, we definitely miss one of the greatest play callers in the history of the NFL!! Defense has been decent, play calling has been horrible. Everyone seems to find the holes in the zones easier than we can. Even just the slants aren't open.

Great idea. Let’s build around a bad 35 year old QB. Hard pass, just embrace the rebuild with a new real coach.

A lot of morons on this board seriously thought we should fire Payton. A lot of them are still here posting. It’s crazy that anybody who had that dogshit take could still hang around here.

Pretty clear that Winston will not be on this team next season.

Dalton at this point should stay and go after a rookie QB early in draft, unless the team goes after a legit veteran starter somehow like Aaron Rodgers or Lamar Jackson.

Dalton at this point could still lead a team to the playoffs and win some playoff games, just not this team. Not with these coaches. The main problem right now is Pete Carmichael's playcalling and then Dennis Allen's command of the team. We are playing with almost no urgency right now, no life and no drive it seems. We have been injury bit again, but the fact that we have STARS like Kamara fumbling, Mathieu loafing it frequently, and are one of the most penalized teams tells me our biggest issue is coaching. A Head Coach has to have hold his players accountable. I am never a "fire him" guy and typically like to see a new HC get a full 2 if not 3 years to establish themselves, but I kept waiting today to see that Dennis Allen got fired, that's how bad I interpret the team's energy and effort and confidence level right now, he's lost the locker room

Yea Dalton made a few mistakes but he got zero help from his teammates.

No way this loss sits on Daltons shoulders.

Should we ride with Dalton next season and try to build around him a little more?

You want to build around a 35 year old backup journeyman qb?

I think he means making Dalton the placeholder for a couple years while we draft and develop a young qb.

But why would we build around Dalton a little more, even if just for next year? This team needs to blow shite up, not build around Dalton a little more. I honestly don’t care who the qb is next year. Just better be cheap or rookie.

I don’t understand the fascination people have with which mediocre qb will play for the Saints next year. As long as that guy helps us get a number 1 pick, doesn’t matter who it is, again, unless they somehow get a high pick qb this year.
