We may not win the super bowl this year but we’ll at least be a very interesting team. Also love that we’re giving Jameis the ability to sink or swim as the future qb.

I think Jameis can still turn it around and be a good starting QB. Not elite, but a good starter. So many bad QBs are afraid to throw the ball. Jameis isn’t afraid, he just needs to be a little more careful than he was in TB. Now that he has good receivers, I think he’ll be able to sling it with the best of them. Just take care of the ball better and he’ll be considered a good starter

some people just love to hate on Jameis
but last year... he was a perfectly fine QB for us and was doing well before his injury
as long as he continues to develop away from the interception prone ways like he was in the progress of doing last year... he'll do great

I know its been said before but to be fair to JW, Arians system required the QB to “Sling it downfield” a LOT.
That was something that TB12 & Arians spent the 1st 8-10 Games of 2020 figuring out. TB wanted to be a tad more selective w/trowin the deep ball!!

..and with a WR group in 2021 where his #1 would be the 4th WR in this upcoming season.

I wonder if I am the only one that is excited to see him with some legit receivers. Everything he has done since he has been here has been solid. I really like him and hope he turns into a long term solution, that would be HUGE.

Honestly, our 3 this season are probably better than those three from that team. Olave is the only one that we won’t know until he hits the field but I think he will be good.

Also, the offensive line was terrible while Jameis was there. Brady got sacked a ton the first half of the 2020 season before they figured it out. The run game picked up too with Fournette on the back end of the season.

From a pure talent standpoint this is the best WR group the team has ever had but they will have to still prove it on the field to beat Colston, Henderson and Moore.

He absolutely was. People also forget that when Jameis was on in Tampa the dude could legitimately eviscerate a defense like he did to the Rams in LA. I’ll take a flyer on that to see if he can eliminate some mistakes as he gets a bit more polished than a game manager type any day.

On paper, this is the best group of receivers the Saints have fielded since Joe Horn, Devery Henderson, and Marques Colston.

Yeah I think Luck and Palmer had a lot of TOs their first years with him too.
I’d feel better about it if SP was still here, but JW spent time with him and Brees so maybe if everyone can stay healthy (unlike last year) the offense can at least be solid and the defense great

I cant wait for this season to start. The Green Bay game last year was a great example of everything he could be. Watched that game again recently and while he does have an occasional Jameis moment he was largly more careful and made better decisions. Watching him rip Green Bay a new one was great.
