He’s a guy you wanted on your side of the ball. But sometimes business is business.
I’m glad he’s not salty at us like Apple or Gallette.

Of course. Best of luck to him. We as Saints fans appreciate his time here. Fan favorite.

Notice how he mentions the City, the fans, and the players. No coaches, no front office. THAT is why he was traded and why an extension was never agreed.

No, trading the whole draft for the opportunity to pick Ricky Williams was worse by far

another big splash off the high dive on this board was Jimmy Graham to Seattle.

I liked Max Unger at center for us though.

I can't remember the rest of the details on that one.

at least we got some value back and Williams was actually decent when healthy.

I think the Jonathan Sullivan trade was worse than Ricky Williams. Go look at all the talent available in that draft. We had 2 first round picks...

But the worst trade by far, imo, was trading one of the best offensive linemen in history for a 3rd round pick. Especially when Roaf would go on to dominate for the Chefs and make the 2000 all-decade team. I know off the field stuff kind of forced our hand (but a similar thing could be said about CJGJ). What makes matters worse is we used that 3rd round pick in a package to get Tebucky Jones

I beg to differ. Like it or not Ricky brought back two first round picks. So we gave up some mid round picks to have him a few years. The total sum combined, Davenport will end up costing more, possibly the Olave trade.

What’s “the organization” refer to?

We got 2 first round picks for him 3 years later and he was a good RB for us for 3 seasons

We got Unger and a 1st for Jimmy G. That was actually incredible value. The issue is, I’m pretty sure we used that 1st on Stephone Anthony and 2-3 stud linebackers were picked immediately after we did that.

Yeah. Granted Unger was great for us and Graham kind of fell off after that

My God…a competent piece of writing from a football player!

I mean…he didn’t even tell us that “he wants to thank” anyone. He just thanked everyone like one is supposed to do.

Thank you, CJGJ…even if you hired a professional to write it…thank you!

Er…I want to thank you.
