Stop trying to make Ingram love happen.

It's not going to happen.

It's not an LSU thing. Mark has been great for the past few years, but a lot of people just won't forget the slow start to his career

This is one of the best offensive lines we’ve ever had. Props to them for allowing our backs to routinely get to the second level

Ingrham was a 1st round pick who really didn't do much his first few years with NOLA, certainly not anything of note you would expect to get from a 1st round pick. The criticism was warranted, regardless of what school he attended.

Over the last few years the light has come on for him. He's always run hard, but now he has vision to go along with that effort. He's made himself into a top-10 back. But to act like the early criticism was unfounded is ridiculous

You can blame most, if not all, of our running woes in the past on Payton and a horrible defense. Payton has taken forever to again embrace the running game, and when you're constantly playing from behind and in a shootout, the running game gets forgotten.

Ingram has had some ball control issues, but has always been a solid player for this team.

Yes. In spite of his poor choice of education, I will cheer for him.

Ingram is actually 6th in rushing yards this year. This is shaping up to be his best year statistically as well. I've given him a lot of shite, but he is showing up when needed.

Kamara has a lot to do with that. Great rookie.

Lol.

His poor choice of education led to becoming a heisman winner, winning a SEC Championship, winning a National Championship, being a 1st round pick, and a multimillion dollar contract...

Sounds like he majored at the best school for his profession.

I'm glad he's doing well for the Saints, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a Bammer.

I'm not sure it's an LSU thing. Ingram was horrible his first few years here. Running up the backs of his linemen and showing no field vision. To his credit, he seems to have gotten better every year. Glad we have him

This topic is so played out. Nobody cares where Mark Ingram went to school. People care how he is running on Sundays.

Doing well, but multiple picks were spent on him as a RB (value usually found later in draft) and it took several years to get a big return on it.

So yes he is doing well and glad he is on the team.

I didn't have a problem with him for being a Gump - it was how much we gave up in the trade for an average back. I'm glad he's now a top 10 back, but that was still a lot to give up and was giving people Ricky Williams flashbacks

If you bought a luxury car and spent top dollar for it and it performed like crap for the first few years but eventually became a solid vehicle, would you forget those first few years?
