This is irrelevant in terms of discussing elite pass catching TE's effects for an organization.

Umm no it’s not. There’s a ton of good tight ends in the league that weren’t picked in the first. The three I mentioned all happen to be picked outside the first. The other example you gave was also picked by us in the third round. And why don’t you tell the class how his career went after he didn’t have HOF bound Brees throwing to him. There’s a reason Gronk only played with Brady and followed him to TB. Trey McBride was just made the highest paid tight end in the league, also taken outside the first.

Bowers was great and I really wanted him last year. But he appears to be more the exception than the rule. statistics back me up on this.

Walker won’t be there at 15. I’ve seen a few people say his floor is probably us at 9. And that he could go as high as 5

Perfectly fine with either Will or Mason Graham at 9. I would be happy with Tyler Warren as well

Will, Graham or Walker I think will be our pick.
But my prediction is for a trade down for the 15th time in a row lol

He said at combine he'd do whatever is asked as long as he is on the field. I know most say that, but all OL is making bank now.

I may be in minority, but I really want to solidify the OLine bad. You see what teams with stud lines do.... Philly, Det, etc. Can really cover up some holes in the offense.

I'd even be happy eith Membout or a trade down a few spots and take Banks

Yes but I think the annoying parts is we should already be in good shape on both considering the capital we’ve spent over the years on it.

Not saying that’s a reason to avoid drafting there but another failure of this FO, skill positions have rotted and you have little to show for the investment into the lined

just as long as they don't take a player, they love because of the RAS score.

God, I hope the new coaching staff and the scouting dept are on the same page here.

Campbell comes with a ton of questions. And this idea of just moving him

No he doesn't.

Fuaga's rookie year was solid but overrated on here. I'm highly confident Campbell would be better at LT (and moving Fuaga into OG next to him could be elite if we got a RT)

But wait. You said fuaga would never, ever be a tackle in the nfl(rt or lt). I believe it was because you said he had short Arms

Now you want to put Campbell there, who has shorter arms. Your theory is shite. I hope you've learned your lesson but it doesn't seem like you have.

Also Gronk & Kelce were the keys to several Super Bowl championships as well.

Yeah but look where they were picked. I still can't believe the saints didn't trade up a spot for bowers.

I understand where they picked. No, they weren't 1st rounders & my point I was making was that elite TE's are game changers. For Tyler Warren to be viewed as a possible top 10 pick, it places his potential into that elite category. Such rare talents at TE create significant matchup problems because they are so unique in their difficulties to defend & game plan against.

I’m an LSU fan.

But he was average at best in the run game…maybe below average.

And I don’t think he’s an elite pass blocking LT. I’d pass.

He’s at least a good value at 9. I think he’ll be fine at LT. Move Fuaga to RT and penning to lg.
I highly doubt they draft a rookie and completely change 3 out of 5 positions right away. I would imagine Fuaga would stay put and Campbell would battle Penning at RT.

Sadly, my understanding is that the Saints had a trade offer they were strongly considering had Bowers made it to them. I wanna say it may have been the Rams.

I’d be more than fine with Campbell or Banks as the pick. Penning isn’t the answer long term. He would be fine for a year or two if we decided to grab Graham or Johnson but Fuaga always looked better as a RT and I think despite his shorter arms, Campbell would be fine at LT. I’d also be fine with Banks, who I think has flown under the radar but his name is picking up steam now

agree with this. penning sounds good at RT until we have to start paying him. campbell or banks is my pick at 9. let penning and a maybe a draft pick along with the guys we have on the roster battle it out for LG.

Sewell had 33 inch arms, played LT in college but plays RT now. I could see that happening for Campbell.

And like someone else said, you can always take another LT in the future and move Fuaga inside if he struggles but for it being his first year at LT, he wasn’t bad at all. A bit overhyped on here but he was slightly above average. And it was year 1. If you could potentially nab your bookend tackles for the next 7-8 years, you do it. I’d prefer Graham, Johnson or even Warren at 9 but I wouldn’t be upset in the slightest if they took Banks, Campbell or even the guy from Mizzou
