Underhill pointed out that this doesn't necessarily mean things are moving forward. But there's no point to agreeing to interviews if you're not on the same page in terms of compensation.

I'm actually down to skip a 1st this year and get a 2024 1st instead.. while the san fran pick is likely in the late 20s.

2024:
worst case, its 32
best case, its top 10

we're rebuilding, not contending.

Regardless of the compensation, still depressing to lose the greatest head coach in Saints history, especially after he sits out only one year. I have no optimism for this organization with Allen as HC. Downvote away.

You really want to take over the stupid contract Denver signed him to? No thanks!

ean was able to get wins out of Jameis, Taysom, and Teddy.

First off: we should have kept Teddy. Vastly under rated in our offense. The kid had control over the team and locker room, and he won.

Second: Sean will win with Russ. The man managed to miss the playoffs last year only bc of a Rams loss in OT. If he would have gotten into the playoffs, it would have solidified last season as his best coaching job.

He was down to his fourth string QB and a WR corps made up of Practice Squad players who got bumped to gameday team out of necessity - everyone above them on the depth chart was injured.

And he barely missed the playoffs. Name me another coach who could do that.

He's the best coach in the NFL, and it's really not close. The only thing that will keep him from not winning a Superbowl in Denver is if Goodell still holds a grudge.

Whether you think it was a fluke or not doesn’t matter. There is no way you can justify his contract on this team.

Anybody downvoting you is a moron. There are actually idiots who thought we should fire Payton. Those people should never be taken serious again.

No way i would met payton go for less than what was given for gruden. Payton accomplished more than gruden had atbthe time gruden was traded.

Silly. Then in another year you get nothing and he coaches again.

What is CSP worth? What a team is willing to pay for him. period. Its not complicated. And usually thats OK to a seller right? I mean you just keep your product and sell it again one day. But that is not what is happining here. Your product you want to sell expires in 2 years. Gone. So tough angry words are nice but they don't improve your team. Trading him does for whatever you can get. Selling this year will get a good return I think if more than one wants the product and a good ol bidding war begins. Next year the buyers know that you lose your product soon and will most likely just wait.

I just want Payton to coach in the AFC. ( Fair compensation to boot )

Last thing I want is for the former Saints head coach to keep the Saints out of playoff contention or beat the Saints in playoffs.

If they meet in a Super Bowl, that's a different set of problems.
